SRP officials said that the 28 commune seats the party controls, spread across 11 provinces and cities: 3 sangkats in Phnom Penh, 1 in Kandal, 1 in Sihanoukville, 1 in Kompong Chhnang, 1 in Banteay Meanchey, 1 in Kompong Thom, 7 in Kompong Cham, 4 in Kratie, 1 in Ratanakiri, and 2 in Preah Vihear. Funcinpec receives the control of one commune in Stung Treng, and one commune in Banteay Meanchey. Altogether, the two parties only control 30 communes, the remaining ones are controlled by the CPP. The NRP party did not get the control of any commune at all, although it took some commune councilors seats. The above results are still considered preliminary, the official results may differ from these numbers.
This is a swift move of SRP to make CPP headach....
