Opposition leader Sam Rainsy said Monday his party had no involvement with the Moha Nokor, an emerging movement with the reported goal of reclaiming lands lost to the Khmer empire in regions of Thailand and Vietnam.
Cambodian police arrested 54-year-old Thach Thae last Friday before he crossed from Poipet to Thailand, the fourth arrest of suspect members of the movement. Three others were recently arrested in Pursat province.
Following those arrests a local newspaper quoted Pursat provincial prosecutor, Top Chansereivuth, as saying Thach Thae told the court that he worked for a Sam Rainsy legislator, Chiem Channy.
The opposition leader and police, however, said these claims were untrue.
"I have nothing to worry about, because even the government spokesman, Khieu Kanharith, says it has nothing to do with SRP," Sam Rainsy said. "So, this issue is an individual matter."
Pursat Deputy Police Chief Sarun Chanthy acknowledged Monday the party was not involved with the Moha Nokor.

Another impractical project by Hanoi and its cambodian people party. Very sad to witness this tragedy by the hand of Hanoi.

Ah Yuons old trick against innocent Khmer, what more can I say!!!What is wrong in international law to reclaim old Khmerland???Only a puppet government of ah khwac Hun Sen and the CPP would be against it. This is just one of many other evil strategies arranged by CPP to arrest as well as punish opposition activists before the election day of 2008.

I have not yet read one of the pro-Yuan, Yuan and pro CPP write anything that can be considered as intelligent people. Their writings are quite irrational. As long as the irrational people are in control these people will continue to wreck the whole house.
