While the Human Rights Party (HRP) held its party congress on Sunday to select the party leaders, both the CPP and the SRP claimed that they are not worried about the fledgling party. Nguon Nhel, the CPP first vice-president of the National Assembly, said that the CPP is not worried about the HRP and that the CPP will actually benefit from the HRP because Kem Sokha’s party will divide the opposition votes. Nguon Nhel said that the CPP will benefit from the HRP. He also said that the population is still grateful to the CPP for liberating them from the Khmer Rouge regime, and he said that Kem Sokha is no extraordinary man. Opposition leader Sam Rainsy said that he is not concerned about HRP competing with the SRP. Sam Rainsy told The Cambodia Daily that: “The SRP tree is 12-year-old. We already have fruits. We have no concern. If a tree has just been planted for one year, it has no fruit nor shape.”
Nguon Nhel said that "the CPP will benefit from the HRP". Of course cpp will benefit from it. It is another cpp party in disguise as human right party; they should call it cpp#2 instead of HRP. Kem sokha claims that he wants true democracy in Cambodia. If that's the case, HRP should not be led by him, let other people be hun sen's puppet.

members of HRP is that :
- Mr Chan Ven (he is CPP member and
was Minister of Education during
Youn domination in Cambodia 1979-1989).
-Mr Pen Sovann is always Youn spy
(he is released by Youn Hanoi in
1992 after 10years in jail at his
house in Hanoi)
Chan Ven and Pen Sovann (has youn wife) are Youn
servant and Youn spy. They also
belong to CPP (Communist Pro youn Party).
Mr Kem Sokha had tendance to
CPP(Communist Pro youn Party) too
So HRP is not really an independant
party or really brings Democracy to
Cambodia people
Yeah, IRI brings democracy to Cambodia
People. But not Kem Sokha.
