The Funcinpec Party has announced its final post-election stance – the party is not divided and does not reject the election results. In addition, Funcinpec is prepared to once more join the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) to form a coalition government, Funcinpec President Keo Puth Reasmey and Funcinpec Secretary General Nhiek Bun Chhay said yesterday after a closed-door party meeting.

“The meeting … showed that there is only one Funcinpec,” said Keo Puth Reasmey after the three-hour meeting held at Funcinpec’s Phnom Penh headquarters.

Funcinpec will make no formal complaints and will not lodge a lawsuit concerning the election outcome, Keo Puth Reasmey added.

Although we are not satisfied with the outcome, we [will] not make a complaint against the election results, which could cause national political instability,” he said.

Nhiek Bun Chhay called the election “free but not fair.”

[W]e have received news of irregularities,” he said, adding that Funcinpec will form a coalition with the CPP, if invited by the CPP.

“We have cooperated well with the CPP for three mandates … We have contributed a lot to political stability,” Nhiek Bun Chhay said.

The Thursday announcement came a day after rumors of a party division between Nhiek Bun Chhay and Keo Puth Reasmey. Government spokesman Khieu Khanarith announced that the CPP will be forming a coalition government with a Nhiek Bun Chhay-led Funcinpec the same day, though he warned that Keo Puth Reasmey, Prince Sisowath Sirirath and other prominent Funcipec royalists will be barred from government. Khieu Khanarith said this was because of complaints that Sisowath Sirirath had joined the opposition parties to appeal for a re-election.

Funcinpec’s stance on forming the new government with the CPP is to be officially announced after a meeting of the Funcinpec Standing Committee Friday evening.

We have agreed on everything,” claimed Khieu Khanarith. “The CPP, a virtuous partner, will keep its promise of forming a coalition government with Funcinpec, and Nhiek Bun Chhay has been selected by the party to negotiate the posts with the CPP.”

Khieu Khanarith would give no further statement about forming a government with Funcinpec, and referred further comment to Funcinpec Deputy Secretary General Serei Kosal, who was unavailable for comment yesterday.

    Dear compatriots,

The situation of our country is getting worse.

As Xihanouk, his adoptive father, Hun sen is not satisfied with his current PRIME MINISTER position.

As Xihanouk, he has had great ambitions: HEAD OF THE STATE

To gain this position, he has to get rid the KING KONG SIHAMONY.

With 90 members of Parliament of CPP and 2 members of FUNCIPEC who will constitutionally abolish the monarchy as LON NOL had done, and name WHO as the HEAD OF THE STATE of Cambodia:

    HUN XEN?
    CHEA SIM?
    HENG SAMRIN?

    Dear compatriots.

THE SAME SCENARIO WILL UNDOUBTEDLY HAPPEN AFTER THE DEATH OF OUR GREAT KING KONG "SDACH THMIL" XIHANOUK

AND OUR BRAINLESS KHMER PEOPLE WILL TERRIBLY SUFFER ONCE AGAIN.

The Second Year Anniversary of the Illegal Treaty 15 October 2005

    Dear Beloved Countrymen,

Today is the second year anniversary of the extension for legal
control of Vietnam over Cambodia legalized by a group of traitor
leaders installed by the Vietnam in the 1979, i.e. the Supplemental
Treaty signed by Hun Sen on October 15, 2005 which in its spirit to
validate the 1985 illegal treaty back to life.

It is the day that we must remember and witness as long as we live
from generation to generation that our territorial integrity and
sovereign are sold to another country by our leader.

However, I personally never recognize the present day leader, Hun Sen,
as the leader of Cambodia . In my eyes, he is just an unconstitutional
leader, a traitor and an untruthful person. This is because he has come
to power constitutionally wrong started in the 1980s by Vietnem's
instalation-puppet, indirectly killed hundreds of thausand Cambodian
by K5 policy, in 1993 by threatening war after the lost of the
election, in 1997 by coup, in 1998 by fraud and unfair election with
hundreds of our beloved students, monks, and peasant killed and
disappeared, in 2003 by amending the national constitution for his
greedy power by means of the packet vote after national election in
2003.With his unconstitutional Prime Ministership, he irresponsibly
and authoritatively signed the illegal Supplemental Treaty on 15
October 2005 with Vietnam in order to validate the 1985 illegal treaty
which violates the spirit of our national constitution and the 1991
Paris Peace Accord and with this he does undermine our national
    independency.

In order to get the public trust, he always keeps saying that all the
Treaties signed in the 1980s do not make Cambodia loses her land, yet
Cambodia will gain land from Vietnam through them because Vietnam are
pity on us. However, he never keeps his promise and dare to face the
reality. He politically never accepts any offer of evidences from our
nationalists, scholars, and our beloved people who live along the
border who witness the daily invasion. And more importantly, he never
keeps his word. I do remember that I asked him to bet life with me in
the case of territorial integrity in October 2005 after he signed the
illegal Supplemental Treaty 15 October 2005 with Vietnam. Taking this
opportunity, I would like to tell him officially that the bet is still
valid and I do urge him to accept it in order to bring about the truth
and bring back national unity, full independency, and pride as a
Nation, otherwise I will never recognize him as a Cambodian leader or
my leader forever but just a traitor and an untruthful person.

Let's mourn together and condemn this act of Hun Sen!

    Former President of SMD

    To All the
    Naives,

Look at Funcinpec is doing now even with two seats remain it will claim in bed with the CPP. You just can't trust these people when it comes to commitment and principles of partnership. I said already that they have long been married, both, don't give a damn about the country.

I doubt that the NRP is anything more than the old Funcinpec either,so let's see for the sake of the conversation. Human Rights Party, maybe there is a chance SRP can work it out because we hold the same principles. Still doubtful, but a doable proposition.

    One more thing,

Another way to effectively going toe to toe with the CPP is for all main opposition groups to come under one umbrella, one political party by working out a new structure and arrangements that will be collectively fruitful for all - in order to have any hope of governing in the future. It is for the smaller parties to realize that they would gain more by merging with the only remaining credible party left in Cambodian political arena, and that is Sam Rainsy Party. Sam Rainsy is flexible, and term limits would serve every party and the nation well moving forward.

" Free but not fair "

what kind of none sense is this?
If its not fair, how could be FREE ? Those two things must agree with each other or nothing at ALL.

Free, but not fair. What, what kind of logic is this ? Its must be a joke.
