Translated from Khmer by Socheata

On Tuesday, an official from the F’pec party indicated that party members who are displeased with the party, are currently threatening to defect F’pec to join the NRP because they did not receive the government position they wanted. Ok Socheat, a F’pec advisor, told The Phnom Penh Post that several party officials who were not nominated to government positions, are angry because they said that they spend huge amount of money during the campaign for the 27 July general election, but they were turned down for a position in the coalition government. He added: “Before the election, we heard that 300 (F’pec) officials will be nominated to position in the government, but this number dropped to 61 only.” He added that 50% of the party members have left to join other parties. He said that this is normal because these people were angry since they spent huge amount of money to try to woo voters. Therefore, when they could not obtain any position, they turn to Samdech Krom Preah (Norodom Ranariddh). He also added that a number of officials hope to influence Prince Ranariddh to return back to lead the Funcinpec party again.

I truly feel sorry for the Khmer people whose leaders, no matter who, when and in whatever regime we can think of, only think of positions for themselves even though the country needs far less positions than currently occupied!

Why don't you go and look for jobs in the private companies or work for yourselves rather than trying to drain the national budget for work you hardly do!

Shame on you FUNCINPEC party officials.

Another solution for you is to go back to America, France, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc. and beg to be on welfare since you are useless in those countries anyway.

    A Concerned Khmer

Followers and supporters of such politicians, if these politicians have any, must be bewildered and confused by their change of party, chasing after public offices or the prospects of getting them.
Do these politicians have any principle at all? Gandhi said: politics without principles is a deadly sin. Or their principle is just do whatever they can to get a public office, make money and then invest some of it to secure this office or get another one?

    Dear Funcipecists,

Please kindly do not leave out to anywhere as all CPP, Sam Rainsy, especially the public know very well that you all are toilet-paper politicians who only want power other than care of own supporters and the people at the large. Go back where you came and seat and review what your dirty activities, then you will be able to come back to National election 2012. From right now, no one need you, idiots, any more. All look at all you like rubbish, stupid, crazy and dirty. However, before going your original palve please keep in mind that you all are mastermind to bring Cambodian down as today because of your philosophy " Seating in Government can strengthen party" and " No seats no work".

    Ex-Funcipec supporters.

Ok Socheat gets no position, thus he leads some other Funcinpec members to defect their party to joint NRP. What will they get? Nothing.

    To Mr Lao,

They are just like you. You jumped from Cambodia to Hong Kong because of the unability of changing the current situation in the country and the failure of challenge the incumbent government.

They leave for the bright (money), and you avoid for being punished ( either psychologically or physically)

Kuev Sompan has mentioned to many people during his retirement in Pailin that he never wanted to leave Cambodia, even he knew the consequency of being sentented.

He urged all the Khmers to stay in Cambodia to help the country develop.
