The government is preparing to hold another round of talks with Cambodia on the disputed sea border next month, Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya said on Tuesday.

"We expect to hold a meeting on this issue again in April, but it will not be related to the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (Asean) Plus 3, Plus 6 summit," the minister said.

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen is reportedly planning to send a letter to the Thai government asking for a quick resolution of the disputed sea border, so oil and gas deposits can ber developed.

Mr Kasit said it would not be necessary for Cambodia to send a letter.

Don't be peacefully with ah siam. Kasit Phirumya regarded PM Hun Sen (PM Hun Sen would be his teacher) just for looking down him later (not necessary to send letter).

We must trust that ah siam created Preas Vihear border dispute is just a key political for negotiation to gain concession on sea oil and gaz areas regarding sea border talk.

It's time to bring all border disputes to an end and start developing the area. You can't get out of poverty by leaving such important places inactive. Let's go 50/50 and done with it.

i think it is a good habit to put everything on paper; if you study law, you know that this is evident and essential, especially if something goes wrong, we can go back to the written binding papers in the name of the law. it works well in the court of law. god bless cambodia.
