Prime Minister Hun Sen on Wednesday appeared to mock opposition lawmaker Mu Sochua, saying she made a mistake by suing him and forcing him to defend himself in a suit of his own.
Mu Sochua was fined for defamation earlier this month after she brought a suit against the premier for allegedly sexist remarks in a speech in April. Mu Sochua has vowed to appeal the decision.
“You were doing press conferences and filed a complaint against me, but now I’ve won the case in the municipal court,” Hun Sen said at a graduation speech in Phnom Penh, in apparent reference to Mu Sochua, who is the Sam Rainsy Party lawmaker for Kampot province.
“[They] said I sued a woman. Why can’t I?” Hun Sen said. “Can’t women make mistakes? [She] said she represents women; this type of woman can’t represent women; don’t make yourself so strong.”
“Now I said this,” the premier continued. “If you file another complaint, go ahead. I will continue by filing another complaint.”
Opposition leader Sam Rainsy said the party supported Mu Sochua’s decision to appeal.
“The Sam Rainsy Party fully supports Mu Sochua,” he said. “Any decision she consciously makes will get the party’s support.”

Now this robber is behaving like animal. Where on earth we find this kind of animal can lead other country like Cambodia. It is time that their army should act to remove this animal out from Cambodia before it is too late for Cambodian to survive in their home of birth.

ReplyDeleteI have to disagree with your analogy one million percent. It's wrong approach to even think and be that way. Cambodia is a sovereign nation and we have all our rights to defend our country from the invaders whether it is through politics or economics.
Your mindset is poor and submissive to begin with, thus, should not and must not be followed.
The patterns of the Vietnam and Thailand's intentions are crystal clear toward Cambodia. They both are the opportunists. They exploit us at our weaknesses. Vietnam tried before but failed during the Khmer Rouge. They stayed in Cambodia for more than a decade with the intention to colonize or annex Cambodia; if it wasn't for the UN, U.S and the rest of world Cambodia would be part of Vietnam in some ways today. Now they try new approach using politics and market economy simultaneously as a silent invading.
Soft invasion:
Send their people to live in Cambodia, the more the better, and encourage them to be active in politics.
Invest heavily in businesses to one day control Cambodia economy and people. Once they achieve these two goals, Vietnam will one day take over Cambodia internally and politically.
As for now, all those little achieves are made possible by Hun Sen. Because Vietnam knows Hun Sen loves power and they do anything to make sure he is the top dog in Cambodia. So, he can continue to bully and terrorize his own people or do whatever he wants as long as he listen to them. The harder he do it, the better it is for Vietnam because that will do one thing: break our trust for each other.
In case of trouble, Vietnam will back Hun Sen 100 percent.

Most people who opposed to Hun Sen are those who can see only half of the truth. I lived in the US, and I tried to oppose CPP. Now I decided to come back to live in Cambodia after I finish my degree there and I see the real things. I don't 100% support him, but he is the best guy at the moment. in the next 10 years maybe not. But now only he can control the chaos after the wars. I couldn't imagin how Ms. Rainsy do it. He has on education from abroad and he doesn't have experience with war and post-war. His time will come, but now Mr. Hun Sen is the best guy.

Cambodian People's Party Hun Sen Khmer Rouge Regime had committed acid attack.
"On December 5, 1999, Tat Marina, age 16, was severely disfigured in an acid attack in Phnom Penh. The attack was allegedly committed by Khun Sophal, the wife of a senior government official, Svay Sitha, because she was angry her husband had a sexual relationship with Tat Marina. Neither Khun Sophal nor those suspected of being her accomplices in the attack were brought to justice. Intense media publicity compelled the Phnom Penh Municipal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Khun Sophal for attempted murder, but the police claimed that they could not locate her, although journalists reported that she was living at home as usual."

TORTURE AND MURDER ON PRAK SITHA WHILE IN CUSTODY BY MISNISTRY OF INTERIOR OFFICIAL
Cambodian People's Party Hun Sen Khmer Rouge Regime had committed torture and murder.
"On the night of January 16, 2003, a street youth named Prak Sitha was beaten to death at the Ministry of Interior (MOI) headquarters after he was arrested and detained by off-duty MOI officers on suspicion of theft. His body - bearing numerous injuries to the head, torso, arms, and legs - was dumped at a Phnom Penh pagoda the following morning by ministry officers, in violation of police regulations regarding deaths in custody. No criminal charges were filed in connection with this death. In December 2004, the case was cited by the UN secretary-general's special representative for human rights in Cambodia - who stated that Prak Sitha died at the ministry "following beatings by a known police officer" - as an example of a "consistent and continuing pattern of impunity" in Cambodia."

Hing Bunheang is a March 30, 1997 Grenade Attack suspect identified by the FBI.
Cambodian People's Party Hun Sen Khmer Rouge Regime had committed murder, again.
"On September 4, 2008, Mean Sokchea, a RCAF major working in Brigade 70, shot dead 21-year-old waitress Put Samphors at a restaurant in Kandal province. Mean Sokchea, in a drunken stupor, fired his gun and apparently mistakenly hit Put Samphors in the stomach. She was taken to a hospital but later died of her wounds. Mean Sokchea was detained by the police overnight but was then released, allegedly after intervention by Hing Bun Heang. Put Samphor's family received US$2,700 from Mean Sokchea, and the police told them that their daughter was shot while authorities were chasing robbers."

Disgrace Mu Sochua’s problem all along, is that she is trying to be a politician. She's not, never has been and quite obviously, never will be. She should have just been herself, provide alternative policies and show Khmer people what a great alternative MP opposition she would be. Instead, her foray into being a politician has been a disaster. She comes across as pretending to be something she's not. Now, her political career is on the line and herself also in the hot water.
ReplyDeleteWhile the nation is facing complex economic, social and environmental issues disgrace Mu Sochua tried to promote her political stunt, aimed to get media attention. If this wasn’t such a clear demonstration of her selfish pursuit of personal ambition it would be laughable. There is no doubt that Mu Sochua has no real regard for the best interest of the nation. She is driven solely by a desire to become a “Champion of Women or new Aung San Suu Kyi” by any means available to her, even if that has the potential to destabilize the country. Even worse she now says that she will appeal her case against Prime Minister Hun Sen to the Appeal court following the announcement of her guilty verdict by the Phnom Penh municipal Court.
People of integrity admit their faults, make amends and are judged fairly...Disgrace Mu Sochua is lacking in integrity and common sense and tries to change Cambodia into her own world. As long as Cambodia’s Court doesn’t issue any verdict which is fitted for her political stunt, she will scream for the justice all day long.
