In the morning of 04 August 2009, a judge of the Phnom Penh municipal court handed down the sentence to SRP MP Mu Sochua, ordering her to pay 16.5 million riels ($4,125) to Hun Xen for defamation. The sentence was pronounced in the presence of Mu Sochua, SRP MPs and opposition leader Sam Rainsy. Civil society and embassy officials were also present in the court.

This is outrageous!!! Mu Sochua will not give a penny to Angkar Leu court.

ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of the idea of allowing Mrs. Mu Sochua to give or donate $4125.00 to the Khmer soldiers at Preah Vihear, herself; after all, it is SRP's money or hers and in recognition of her donation, the unfair court lets her walk free since she has done nothing wrong, after all?
If she pays.. She's admitting guilt. She should appeal.

Lady, you are utterly ignored, disregard, and disrespect the country's judicial system. As an opposition leader, you're not only have to know and understand the rules of leadership, it's important, however, you also must know and understand the rules of law of the country. You have to respect the verdict. Moreover, since she was not exculpated of the crime in which she has perpetrated--she's no longer innocent. Again, the verdict must be respected.
