The Vietnamese Women’s Union (VWU) and the Cambodian Women’s Association for Peace and Development (CWAPD) have signed a cooperation agreement for the 2009-2012 period.
The deal was reached during the VWU delegation’s visit to Cambodia on September 30, led by Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Thanh Hoa.
As part of the agreement, both sides will step up the exchange of information on their activities to advance women in society and gender equality issues.
They will also work together to organize conferences and exchange delegations to increase mutual understanding.
During talks between Chairwoman Hoa and CWAPD’s Chairwoman Men Sam An, who is also Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister, the two organizations discussed how to raise women’s awareness of the need to prevent domestic violence and woman and child trafficking.
On the occasion, Chairwoman Nguyen presented 30 computers and US$10,000 to help the CWAPD in its efforts to reduce poverty.

Heng Samrin, Hun Sen, and Dim Sim couldn't believe their luck, without the Vietnamese they would be still peasants and eating dirt or might be dead already……that's why they are so grateful to the Vietnamese for putting them in power and make them the kings of Cambodia not even Sihanouk dares to oppose them…..Sihanouk becomes the puppet of the puppets. khmer should implement the rule of law once and for all in order to prevent youn and siem from steal and taking advantage of cambodia again, really. with khmer law, if they are found committing violation of our khmer, of course, deport them and put them in prison. thus, we shouldn't have to worry too much about them stealing our lands, etc... as we will see to it that they assimilate into khmer and respect and obey our khmer law, etc... however, if we find they infringed upon our khmer rights, khmer way, etc, we will deport and take them to court as well as anyone else, really. cambodia is not in the dark ages anymore and we have law nowadays! khmer way or the highway, ok! they must learn to speak the khmer language as well, no exception, ok; we want them to be khmer, to assimilate into khmer society so cambodia can become a great country for all to enjoy, really. think about it, ok!
