Cambodia - Theng Socheata, 17, was killed when her skull was broken and her brains spilled because a military police officer ran over her head in his Lexus SUV.

The unnamed officer driving the Lexus was sent to the police station for a short time and then let go when his unit called and asked that he be released. According to the law, in a case like this, the driver must be detained until the court hearing.

According to court official, this traffic accident has not yet been reported to the court. Last week a Military Police Officer was driving his Lexus and hit and killed a girl. He fled the scene of the crime but was apprehended.

Is this how the law and order should work for Cambodia? Why are we risking our good name in the world stage for being the notorious place on earth?

The military, police, and the cpp government are nothing but traitors. They dare not lift their hands against foreigners, but only act tough towards their own people. Why not tell people the truth? Cambodia will no longer exist if things continue to go the way they are. In the future, we might be force to learn Vietnamese, Chinese or Korean.

all of you are fucking morons. I have family who are in the military police and I totally condemn this action. I know people use connection to get out of trouble with law all the time but just because some are bad doesn't mean all are the same.

If I am in the power position, I would definitely make sure that military police officer is met with whatever the law is for his action.

Thanks for your view but it does not help for the fact that majority of officers supposed to exercise laws, have abused laws or power. that is why citizens and international communities and human rights organisation are against management of government, simply neglects the abused but assists the abuser.

IT PROVES THAT CPP endorses laws of violences which considered to be their rules of laws.

    concerns

They should have speed limitation for cars and motor cycles. They also should have a drunk driving law. If people speed just give them a tickets and if you are drunk then penalize them. All the collected money should pay to the police and teachers and so on... Just ony a suggestion.
