One Comment off of Dr. Tith's Web Page

Cambodia Should Look East In Defense of Territorial Integrity

The Cambodian Daily; November 14, 2009

(Comments: What I have been saying for quite sometimes now is finally come out on the naiveté of some pretentious Cambodian with their fake nationalism by going along with Hun Sen's diabolical plan to make Thailand the worst enemy of Cambodia and Vietnam the defender of Cambodia, on the issue of Preah Vihear.

I am happy to see this opinion written by Sam Rainsy in a letter to the editor of the "Cambodian Daily," which I hope will wake up those ultra-nationalist Cambodians such as the Khmerization group, and especially that naïve Kulen Monorom. It is a bit too late, but never too late to be reasonable.

However, I disagreed with Sam Rainsy for destroying the temporary border markers in Svay Rieng province, because, his name has already been soiled by his previous impetuous act with regarding to inciting Cambodians to riot against the Vietnamese living in Cambodia.

However, unlike Mu Sochua who never retreats from her lawsuit against Hun Sen, Sam Rainsy had reversed his decision of suing Hun Sen, once before under pressure for the latter by withdrawing his lawsuit against the Cambodian dictator due to a counter lawsuit and a threat of removing his parliamentary immunity. Sam Rainsy even went so far as to ask for forgiveness from Hun Sen.

Because of his past unreasonable and miscalculated decisions on the Vietnamese issue, Sam Rainsy should concentrate on Hun Sen's misdeeds and oppression, and not on the Vietnamese aggression, because addressing internal problem of corruption and oppression under Hun Sen and his CPP regime, he will earn more support from international community, while also denying Hun Sen the benefit of being the defenders of "innocent" Vietnamese settlers in Cambodia.)

Good advice, but the person who works alway has mistake and the person who talks alway rights. All commpatriots keep in mind that all work that do not please or against the Vietnamese puppet CPP is not an easy work. Their personal safety and lives are at risk everyday.

dr. tith is probably the only person on this planet that is so intelligent.

i think it is better for dr. tith to continue to make his comments because his action (behavior and attitude) would turn people off.

Dr. tith is a researcher, not a politician. He may be good at political theories learned in the classroom--like armchair politician, but he's naive himself if confronted with political issues. All he can do is talk the talk, yet he can not talk the walk. So why is he meddling with political showdowns in cambodia? He has no political experience, nor knowledge of the viet encroachment of the cambodian territory.

Are you saying that SR defending cambodia was right, but acted in the wront time?

Imagine that if the immigration did take action in preventing flood of vietnames into Cambodia, it would has been less disturbance politically to cambodians, and where all efforts can be assisted into implementation national constitution which is the key for national prosperity.

So many can't understand that why so many compatriots had to be eliminated and treated as criminals for serving Cambodians?

Years ago I jointed two conferences with Dr. Tith and I respect his degree I really want to support a smart and brilliant person but his personality is not mactch with his degree. He don't know how to answer the question, he attack and fight back unprofessionally. Up to now I didn't see a major activity under his name for our country yet. TALK AND WALK TALK AND WALK= LOOSER. HAVE FUND, POWER AND SUPPORTERS= WINNER. THEIR IS NO JUSTICE IN CAMBODIA BECAUSE MR. RIGHT IS ABSENCE.

Politician and accademic are two different things. Politician is a person with political skill which can engage with people of all level because Politic is about people, their lives and their well being. Accadecic people are people with intellectual capacity who can rewrite the story and make up new story and comment. But accademic people are not neccessary to be good politician because they are too cautious and too conservative and they like to live in confortable lives.
