There will be no mercy for those who want to oppose 07 January, irrespective of their actions. During a public comment held in Kien Svay district, Kandal province, on Tuesday, PM Hun Xen ordered that action be taken against those who distribute who distribute leaflets to detract 07 January.
According to Wednesday’s edition of The Phnom Penh Post, on Tuesday, Hun Xen threatened to arrest those who distribute leaflets detracting 07 January and accusing the current government of being “a lackey of communist Vietnam.” These leaflets were allegedly printed in Thailand for distribution in Cambodia.
Hun Xen warned in front of hundreds of people, saying: “Those who distribute the leaflets, be careful, I will arrest you, I already know about the leaflets cursing 07 January. If you distribute them, I will arrest you.” Hun Xen indicated that he knows the people who produce the leaflets that curse him and calling him “Ah [derogatory] Hun Xen.” However, he said the people who distributed these leaflets fled to Thailand. He added: “Yesterday, I saw this leaflet, and I told the person who said this [to me] that the case is brought out to the open now.”
On Monday, the Takeo provincial police said that they found about 600 anonymous leaflets opposing Vietnam. They were spread outside a high school, near the provincial administration office. Kieng Chantharith, spokesman of the national police commissioner office, said that the authority is continuing its investigation to find those who distributed the leaflets in Takeo on Monday. He declared: “We don’t have any suspect yet, because we just conducted the investigation one day only. We are continuing to look at other places, but there are no other leaflets.”
Yim Sovann, SRP spokesman, told The Phnom Penh Post on Monday that the SRP still consider 07 January as the day of Vietnamese invasion of Cambodia, and this date should not be used by any political party to promote itself. About 10,000 CPP supporters are expected to gather at the party headquarters in Phnom Penh to commemorate this victory day over the Pol Pot regime which killed more than 1.7 million Cambodians.

Hun Xen knows everything was happening or going to happen in Cambodia but he couldn't find out who killed journalists and those strikers in 1997.

One of the reasons behind the killing during Pol Pot's regime was that there were two opposing lines of Khmer Rouge - those who worked for and protected the nation; and those who were brainwashed and introduced by Hanoi to destroy the nation.
ReplyDeleteWhich group was PM Hun Sen part of? If he pretends to belong to the first group, then may I ask why he allows or tolerates the presence of millions of illegal yuon settlers in Cambodia since Jan 1979, and signed several land concession treaties with Hanoi without public consultation?
I hope that PM Hun Sen did belong to the first group, and that he will do everything possible to prove it. Otherwise, he will be seen by Khmer people that he was a true yuon agent; That would be very sad and unfortunate for his children, grand children and grand-grand children.

ReplyDeleteI have many reason to believe that you are out of your mind and incapable of making logical judgements. You support a traitor like Hun Sen and the CPP party. What good have they done in the last 31 years? After 31 years, the people of Cambodia still live daily under fear and intimidation. They are forcibly being evicted out of their home and off of their land everyday, the number of families is at 150,000 so far, how many more families will be thrown out into the streets like dogs. Hun Sen and CPP has given away over 100,000 Hectare of Cambodian land to Vietnamese business and they are currently aiding in the give away of Cambodian Farmer's land to Vietnam, all in the name of the illegal 1985 demarcation treaty. Hun Sen and CPP has killed and imprisoned innocent Villagers, opposition leader, journalist, Human rights activists, political activists and numerous other people. He has failed to protect Khmer Krom people seeking political Asylum and is serving only in the interest of Vietnam, his master. Hun Sen and CPP have imposed a culture of impunity, where people with power and money can terrorize the poor and the powerless without any consequences. Now Hun Sen has the audacity to demand that all Khmer people respect and celebrate January 7, 1979...the day we all understand clearly was the official INVASION and Vietnamization of Cambodia?
Vietnam orchestrated the Killing fields, they played a huge part in the Khmer Rouge Regime. Why should we thank the murderers, who pretend to rescue us at the end?

ReplyDeleteIt was Invasion and not liberation, because at the time Pol Pot refused to follow the Vietnamization of Cambodia. Pol Pot made many mistakes in asking the Vietcongs for help, but he never considered giving up not one hectare of Cambodian Territory to Vietnam, that's why they had to take him out! Hun Sen has to be a dog and listen to his master's command, because if not the Vietcongs will take him out also.

ReplyDeleteSRP members were also being tortured and killed by CPP members and Hun Sen during the Khmer Rouge period. Remember Hun Sen and many current CPP members were Yuon Spies who orchestrated the killing of over 1.5 million Khmer people. When Pol Pot started to Kill Yuon Spies and move away from Yuon's Agenda, Yuon had to come out and invade Cambodia, so they could get rid of Pol Pot, who was in the way of the Vietnamization of Cambodia! In fact, Yuon had already invaded Cambodia back in 1973, as part of the Khmer Rouge Regime, we just were fooled into believing that they were real Khmer. Thousands of them infiltrated the ranks of the Khmer Rouge and their plan was to Kill off all KHmer, starting with the intellectuals. They wanted to only leave people like Thes Meas, who are easy to fool and brainwash...

Ho Chi Minh decided to follow the iron curtain so when weapons started pouring in and funding for revolution, who armed and trained the Khmer Rouge? The Viet Minh did. So those who said Vietnamese are saviors think of it like this, they fan the flame for the fire and when you burned to the ground they pretend to be the fire fighters who rescue you.
