The government spokesman once again confirmed that the ex-Thai prime minister, an economic advisor of Hun Xen, was not naturalized as Khmer citizen.
Thaksin did not receive the Cambodian citizenship in March 2008, Khieu Kanharith, the government spokesman, confirmed once again during a press conference organized on Monday 15 February.
The disclaimer came at a time when the website KI-Media, which is close to the opposition party, had published new claims according to which a naturalization decree would have been signed by Chea Sim, the Senate president and standing head of state, during the absence of King Norodom Sihamoni.
At the beginning of February, the Thai ministry of Foreign Affairs indicated that it wished to “investigate” on Thaksin Shinawatra’s citizenship, the fleeing Thai ex-prime minister.
Abhisit Vejjajiva, the current Thai PM, indicated that if indeed Thaksin received the Cambodian citizenship, he should abandon his Thai citizenship.
Mr. Abhisit stealthily ordered large deployments of Thai troops, numbering to 8000, according to some estimates, into the border areas in a provocation attempt to stir up Mr. Hun Sen into a real fire fight which Mr. Abhisit hopes to deliver a knock out military punch of Mr. Hun Sen in the same way Mr. Hun Sen landed him a verbal knock out punch.

How about stop barking from afar and lead me to this new frontier. It's easier said than done if your not in a country that use military power to surpressed it's people.

Since when that Cambodia took their lands? Actually the land that Thailand live on is Cambodian's land.
They took our land since the fall of Angkor period. Maybe around the year 1300. If you can fool the world that Cambodian took their land, I bet the world or the UN will be laughing at them so hard.
Luckily, they should be appreciated that Cambodia never raise the issue of returning of all Khmer's land. And what's more lucky for them is that Cambodia didn't instigate all those that currently living in Thailand to wake up. There are almost 30 million of Khmer living in Thailand.

Kanharith said the newspaper mis-interpreted the word "sbot" to mean "dak bondassa" He may be right in that, but the speech the PM made included both - his daring Abhisit to "sbot" (swear, which could also mean "cher") and that if it is not true that Abhisit should dare to be in accident, shot, killed by misfiring of a rifle. Now, that was still a language that no world class leader would ever want to use.
