Four delegates of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) are currently visiting Cambodia to try to understand the role of the Cambodian parliament – which includes both the National Assembly and the Senate – in the oversight of foreign aid to Cambodia. The visit of the Geneva-based IPU will take place between 01 and 05 March 2010. The IPU delegates will meet with Cambodian senators and MPs from the CPP, the SRP, the HRP, and the royalist party (formerly known as the Norodom Ranariddh Party) on Monday 01 March at the National Assembly. A representative of the IPU delegates indicated that their mission to Cambodia is for understanding the role of the parliament in the oversight on the government, in particular in the use of development aid provided by the international community, and health-related aid.
I hope IPU will listen to both side to the story not only to the ruling party, CPP.
ReplyDeleteThere are countless UN and Foreign organizations go to investigate Hun Xen and his CPP governments but they all seems to lean their ears and eyes to the government. Everyone of their report state that Cambodia is improved. While Hun Xen abuse his people and destroying the nation.
I wish they would also seeks citizens opinion. Sometime it is best because the citizens is who suffered.
It's not difficult to understand, that's just a band of cows who follow a band of bandits without idea of what laws are, what justice is.
ReplyDeleteYes i accept the SRP and CPP party to be part of the parliamentary but I will not accept the Ranarith Party because his family members have done enough damage for our nation and it needs to be changed. There is no use to keep a party that has been failed. 2-3millions have died under his father management, isn't this enough damaged already? 10 families that related to me have been killed by him, and what more can I say? Why do people still allowing "them" to be part the lead? What good have they done? nothing! but ruined. I don't understand! why? in western world, they would condemn who ever ruined their own nation, just like Sadam Hunsen. Anyway, khmer will not live in peace until the gov't get rid of this evil bloodline. Victim of King and Pol Pot regime
