Even though it is still uncertain as to whether the office of the prosecutors of the Phnom Penh municipal court will accept or reject the request to delay the questioning of his client, Chuong Chou-ngy, the defense lawyer of opposition leader Sam Rainsy has already decided to send in a delay request on the questioning of his client.

Chuong Chou-ngy told reporters that: “I do not know if the court will accept it or not because this is a political lawsuit.” However, Chuong Chou-ngy said that the rejection of his request would be unfair.

Opposition leader Sam Rainsy was summoned by the office of the prosecutors for the Phnom Penh municipal court for questioning on 09 March stemming from accusations leveled by the government claiming that Sam Rainsy published false information and that he falsified public documents. These are news charges brought against Sam Rainsy for uprooting border stakes. On 27 January 2010, the Svay Rieng provincial court already sentenced Sam Rainsy to 2-year of jail time.

Ky Tech, the government lawyer, indicated that Sam Rainsy’s sentence in the previous case, and his sentence in these additional cases could lead up to 20-year of jail time.

Nevertheless, civil society organizations see this case as being a political case and that it can be resolved very quickly should they want to resolve this problem.

SRP should not ask Hun Sen's court to delay. Pointless! We all know the result of this pathetic court system. Hun Sen's court was and will never be fair.

It's impossible to talk about laws with bandits, they don't care about justice, laws are just tools for them, they use to make profit and to keep them in power instead of using forces.

Forget Hun Sen's court! It's just a tool for them. I dare millions Cambodians citizens who love Cambodia to show up at the Hun Sen's court during the session. Cambodian need to united as unity to show the unethical government that people will not tolerate their uncharactoristic anymore. Enough is enough!

Cambodia is owned by all Cambodians citizens not Hun Sen or CPP. All Cambodian need to stand up together and reclaim the country.

Freedom is not easy. Freedom is not free! Stand up to pay for it now for your future generations. It is not fair for your children and grandchildren to suffers for your cowardness!

Cambodians all over the world would like to help but in order for them to help people in Cambodia must be brave to take the initial lead. The owner of the house must fight back the thieves in order for the neighbor societies can help.
