Every time a great cause is asking for a monetary donation, I think some people will immediately think if it is a tax-deducatable charity. In this case it is an absoultely YES. Donate your money to SCSK as seen in the Nonprofit organization on the letterhead and get the headquarter address and phone number for your tax preparer to claim it off your income tax.
I usually donate to the buddhist monks at some temples. I bought umbrellas, slippers, robes, books, etc and I asked for a receipt for my donation. Then at the end of the year, when my tax preparer asked me if I had contributed to any of the nonprofit organizations, I just produced my legitimate receipts and I was able to deduct if off my taxable income. Remember, the smaller your taxable income, the less your income will be.
