Once again, Pen Sovann, the former prime minister of Cambodia at the beginning of the 80s and currently vice-president of the Human Rights Party, told his party members on Sunday that he was the one who led the army to liberate Cambodia from the Khmer Rouge regime. According to The Phnom Penh Post, Pen Sovann told about 200 HRP party members at the party headquarters that: “I am telling you that I am the father of 02 December and 07 January. I was the true president of the CPP.” He added: “I formed the People’s Republic of Kampuchea (PRK).” He said that when he formed the 1979 government, he nominated Heng Xamrin, the current president of the National Assembly, to the position of chairman of the council of the revolutionary people of Kampuchea, and Chea Xim, the current president of the Senate, to the position of minister of Interior. Pen Sovann was nominated as the PRK prime minister in 1981, but he was subsequently arrested [by Hun Xen] and jailed in Vietnam for 10 years because he opposed the Vietnamese leaders’ policy of sending Viet immigrants to settle in Cambodia, as well as other Viet plans.

Ah PEN SOVANN is ah khmer Vietming who was trained in HANOI to destroy his own country.Ah pen sovann was and still is yuon to the core.Ah pen sovann was used by yuon to attack Cambodia .He's not a true nationalist like the khmer republicans.He should be hanged or jail alongside with ah duch,ah khiev samphan,ah NUON CHEA,AH IENG SARY and his wife.

ReplyDeleteBoth are rainned by Viet but MR. Pen Sovann, Chhan Si and the other are the khmer nationalists they woked up the Viet because he know the Viet plan and love Khmer land. Despite he losed his power but he ist respeted person in Cambodia. Those (living in Kampuchea and oversea) who blaimed him as Youn brain, please look carefully about his activity in the past. For instance, if he belong to Youn and he wanted to live under Youn like Hun Sen and King Sihanouk. Hun Sen has never chance to be a PM today.

ReplyDeleteby "father of" something, we mean he is the founder of that organization, etc... in khmer way, do not take words or phrase to mean literally, ok! well, if he is the true founder, then do give him proper credit, that's all. it's the recognition that we all wanted, not so much fame or fortunate, i think! more power the the brainchild! god bless.

ReplyDeleteBy the time those two realized that yuon had special agenda in colonizing Cambodia it's way way too late.Yuons are not dumb.Yuons were all over Cambodia already .They got cheated big time.Those two may have thought that yuon is very frienly to khmer ,in fact they are not .They used them to destroy their own country and it's the fact .If they are a true nationalist like they think they are then they should join force with our khmer brothers and sisters in the defense of our homeland and solve our differences later democratically.But those two are nothing but a traitor.
In all you just can not cooperate with the enemies to kill your own khmer and hoping your enemies will help your country .It's just plain stupid or mentally sick.

it boils down to everyone has interest, whatever it may be! so how to put a stop or discourage it, etc? one way is implement the rule of law in cambodia, the other way, put into practice national debate during election, also look into amending a two term limit law in the constitution, etc...; otherwise, without law to govern the process, people will of course be greedy and ambitiously hog the power to themselves in order to protect their interest, etc... now think about it, it may sound simple, but it is what boiled down to, really!
