Cambodia’s leader, also known as the Strongman, nominated Hun Manet, his son, to the position of deputy-commander of his bodyguard unit.
The young Hun Manet is Hun Xen’s eldest son. He received his master degree in the US and his PhD in England. He is now in charge of his papa’s safety.
Human rights officials and political analysts expressed their regret to see Hun Manet for accepting this position. These observers believe that, based on his education, Hun Manet could do a lot to improve Khmer society, and doing so would be better for him than serving in his father’s bodyguard unit whose renown is dubious.

ReplyDeleteThe way I see it - Hun Sen's job is to provide the country certain level of stability and social order. With these in place, it is our jobs to develop the coutry through business development/entrepreneurship, personal development and training and so on.

How the hell Hun Sen have more then 10,000 body guard and all the cambodia military equipments. The regualr cambodian arm froces need a bullets must ask the Hun Sen Body Guard units.. This is a private army by using state money.. With the old and rebuild T55 and BTR60 half of it bare start and all the good Hun Manet taking it to put in his house and some in his units... Master in Dictatorship and PHD in Dicataorship and execution..Go hun

hunsen just learned lesson from sihanouk, while picked someone not closed enough to control the army and later on the coup and expulsed him out of cambodia, hunsen just prevent it won't happen in his era. don't be jalous, you can run against him until u will be elected prime minister of khmer, but unfortunatly no one has beaten hunsen so far. for how long hunsen governs cambodia, over 20 years..? he's not evil as everybody thought. if the evil rules cambodia, it wouldn't take long just look @ ah polpot 's year.
