before you bitch and moan and groan and whine and complain, etc, understand what the nobel peace prize is for, it's not for politics, but for a distinguish individual who did a lot for a country in the name of peace, unite, education, reforms socio-economic development, etc, etc, you know. so, it's not really about your opposition politics, it's about peace, reconciliation, unity education, reforms, etc, ok. leave your jealousy, politics, differences, etc to yourself, ok! it's great that mr. hun sen gets this nomination, really. god bless mr. hun sen and his family and cambodia.
The above commentor forgot to include that Samdech has been working hard annexes Cambodia with the Viet. This is the prime objective that he has acheived since he is in power. So why not nominate him before they dragg him down from power.
Hun Sen should ask The Global Witness first before nominate for Noble Peace Price. If Hun Sen's forhead still has a sign "Country for Sale by Priminister " forget about it.
I think it is possible, if we look at the world recent history. While United States was engaged in two wars, in Irak and Afghanistan, Obama received Nobel Peace Prize. And we Cambodia almost broke into war with Thailand, I think it could consider the prime minster to be nominated as well.

I have recently met many CPP supporters in USA and Canada, funny enough most of them are Vietcong who hated the Khmer Rouge. Isnt Dictator Hun Sen a Khmer Rouge who also killed many Vietcong himself before betraying Pol Pot.
