PHNOM PENH, Sept 25 (Bernama) -- Radio Voice of Vietnam (VOV) and Cambodia's state broadcaster National Radio Kampuchea (RNK) on Monday signed a cooperation agreement for the 2013-2016 period.
Under the agreement, both sides will increase the broadcast of news, reports and programmes featuring each country's political, socio-economic and cultural achievements.
They will also promote one another's cause of national defence and development to contribute to strengthening ties between the two countries, Vietnam's news agency VNA reported.
The agreement was signed by Vietnam Radio general director Nguyen Dang Tien and Cambodian counterpart Tan Yan.
The agreement also sees both broadcasters exchanging and airing music and special programmes during important occasions of each nation.
Vietnam Radio will assist Cambodia Radio to develop a network to expand its coverage to Cambodia's entire territory.
