We would like to suggest Socheata to put the meaning of English as the following:
Southern Cambodia (Southern Vietnam) = Khmer-Krom
Central Cambodia (Cambodia today) = Khmer Kandal
Northern Cambodia (Thailand and Laos) = Khmer Surin
So that the Khmer/Cambodian folks who were born in the U.S.A, EU, Australia, New Zealand, France, Canada, UK, Norway, Sweden, Belgium, Denmark, Israel, and so on to know about their home land and just Khmer/Cambodia folks at home and who live abroad.
Northern Cambodia (Thailand and Laos) = Khmer Surin
This should be corrected as follows:
Northern Cambodia (Thailand and Laos) = "Khmer Leu"
Khmer Leu [upper Khmer] corresponds with 'Khmer Krom' [Lower Khmer] and Khmer Kandal [Central Khmer].
Surin is but one of several Khmer provinces lost to Thailand. The term 'Khmer Leu' embraces more accurately the presence and expanse of former Khmer territories now under Thai and Laotian control.
The national flag of Cambodia should bear 3 stars to symbolise this diverse Khmer unity until all three becomes one single unified state.
I wanted all the Cambodian or Khmer people in the World to be unity no matter what political party your are in protecting and saving Cambodia from the Vietnamese expansion is the must important for all Cambodian anywhere.
