PHNOM PENH, Nov. 4, 2013 (Xinhua) -- Six renowned Chinese films have been shown here at the Lux Cinema on Monday in order to celebrate the 55th anniversary of Cambodia-China diplomatic ties and to exchange cultural activities.

Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Cambodian Minister of Culture and Fine Arts Phoeung Sakuna said the event was a part of the implementation of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership of Cooperation between Cambodia and China on culture.

"The show of the movies is not only an opportunity for Cambodian people to learn more about Chinese tradition and daily lives, but also a chance for Cambodian and Chinese culture officials to exchange experience and bridge closer relations."

Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia Bu Jianguo said it was the first time that the China Today Arts Week came to Cambodia.
