Hun Sen accused "foreign countries" of pushing him to form a coalition with the opposition

Hun Sen reiterates again: If Funcinpec cannot get any seat, the CPP will form the government by itself

Monday 10 March 2008

Translated from Khmer by Socheata

Pursat Province – Hun Sen indicated that the CPP sets the goal that if another party wins the election, that party must lead the country by itself, and the CPP will pull itself out to act as the opposition party. On the contrary, if the CPP wins the election, it will take the Funcinpec as its partner. However, if Funcinpec has no parliament seat, the CPP will lead by itself. “We will eat all by ourselves this one time, you (Funcinpec) should get seats and win them,” Hun Sen said.

Hun Sen made this declaration on 08 March during a visit to a water structure construction site in Pursat River, near Khya commune, Kandieng district, Pursat province.

Hun Sen also criticized foreign countries, telling them not to talk nonsense because some foreigners have tried to (informally) push him to work with the opposition party for some time now. Hun Sen said: “What you said was wrong, because democracy in Western countries requires the presence of an opposition party. If you want the opposition to join the government, then it would be a contradiction. This theory would be turned upside down. I need a strong opposition party, not just one party, but many opposition parties, but for the government, I want to control it by myself, it’s easier.”

Hun Sen said that it is easy to work with Funcinpec, but frankly speaking, the CPP by itself is easiest, when he needs it in the middle of the night, it would rise up in the middle night, if he needs it in the middle of the day, it would rise up in the middle of the day. He said that, for example, when a dike ruptured, and the road was cut in the middle of the night because of flooding, (CPP’s) Lim Kean Hor would be right there on the spot, calling one own minister to act is the easiest thing to do. Now tree insect pest problems are happening all over the place, (CPP’s) Chan Sarun is present on the spot.”

Regarding this issue, Hun Sen indicated that: “ If it were another party, we must respect them. When it is close to midnight, you cannot call them, at least we must respect their right to rest and wait until morning time, but by then, it is already too late. Therefore, the secretary of state must be called in, but the latter does not have full right, because the right resides with the minister.” Nevertheless, Hun Sen said that he will not abandon Funcinpec … “I ask that Funcinpec work hard in the government, now many Funcinpec officials have defected to the CPP, but I don’t encourage them to join us. If they cannot stay there (Funcinpec), then they have to go (to the CPP). I told Mr. Keo Puth Rasmey and Mr. Nhiek Bun Chhay already that if the (Funcinpec) brothers and sisters come over, I will receive them, if we let them go elsewhere far, it would be more difficult than this.”

Hun Sen indicated that: “The election vote does not involve alliance, be careful that voting for this party is like voting for the other party as well. In 2003, such election campaign claim was made in Ponhea Krek and Memot districts. At that time, they said that voting for the CPP is like voting for Funcinpec also (at that time, there was no cursing on each other during the election campaign yet).” At that time, Hun Sen declared that: “If voting for Funcinpec is like voting for the CPP, and voting for the CPP is like voting for the Funcinpec, then you all vote for the CPP directly so that the votes remain all together.”

Hun Sen added: “The votes do not imply an alliance, the higher up can allied with each others because they join the government, for us the CPP, we must vote for the CPP. If you see that the CPP did a good job, that Mr. Hun Sen leadership is good, you must vote for the CPP in drove.” Hun Sen also said: “I am talking on the microphone about voting for this party is like voting for that party … but, they are different from one another. No, voting for the CPP then Hun Sen will be the prime minister, voting for others means that somebody else will become the prime minister. They are different, I am confirming this with you now.”

“What I am asking you is that, irrespective of whoever get less or more (votes), regardless of whoever support any political party, don’t forget to work the rice field. This is the time to work on the rice fields, therefore, the importance is the rice fields, but at the same time, you should take the opportunity to go vote, because voting takes only one morning, you should go vote for whoever you like, and you should see if that party can serve you, you should vote based on your respective understanding.”

What is the point of having the cake and if we cannot eat it? If we (CPP) had the cake -- you bet your bottom dollar -- that we'll certainly eat it, too (unquestionably). In other words, to put in a simple term so the gorillas may understand, thus we do not have any misapprehension: again, if we won (of course, we will inarguably)major seats, of course, we'll form the government. This is not difficult process to understand. Come on, gorillas, this is a no-brainer!

Yeh...go ahead and eat the damn cake until you die! I said until you die!

Corruption is a form of bad eating habit for these fucken Vietcong slaves too! Eating in moderation is okay but eat to destroy Cambodia is not okay and all these fucken Vietcong slaves have so much appetite for everything and they are eating nonstop and they will continue to eat until their stomach blown up! Eat until you die mother fucker!

God damn it, gorilla! For the sake of Mary, Joseph and Jesus, we're enjoy our lives immensely; plus, we only die once!

Without a doubt, we'll have the cake and eat it, too (that's the whole point of having the cake in the first place).

When foreigner interfere with our internal affair, it means we are divided and weak. We must not allow this to happen.

Normal country would have united to kick the foreigners out of our affair despite any dispute they have among themselves.

Yes, mate, you're absolutely correct! Foreign interference is not required when dealing with internal affairs, because only exacerbate problems -- not solving them. Therefore, it's of paramount importance that the foreigners need to understand when deciding to interfere with our internal affairs.

Right, the only thing we need from foreigner is open trade and some economic assistance, but never involvement in our affair.

what is suicidal about this is opposition invited foreigner to push PM to form coalition with them. These people has no moral and living in denial, and this set bad example for future generation.

We have made many mistakes in the past by inviting foreigner to help settle our difference. The French is the most obvious one. That is they end up taking all our land from us. Personally I believe we lost most of our lands from similar mistake, and not from fairy tale been told by our Kings and Queens.

What we must understand is sometime we have to accept bad thing as they are without making it worse. Let say you have two kids, one Strong and one Weak. Now come the bad thing: after your dead, the Strong kid killed his Weak brother and keep all of your asset to himself. Do you think that that is worse that The Weak kid asking the Big French kid to Kill his Strong brother, and having the French taking all of your asset, and let your Weak kid starved to dead. I mean now your gene is finish and your asset are all gone. Am I right? If so, that is the moral value that we missed in our education (The End of Khmer Race).

You know since PM HUN SEN and his relatives down to his friends already owned most of the lands and their stomach already full. So regardless of his lost in the election he doens't care. Thats why he said he would step down. To most of us there is a good sign that he is willing to do that. I am giving an applaud to him.

Huh, 8:07? Khmer do not naturally like to share power. They want it all, not to say that I am against this. Tell me any Khmer leader in the past who want opposition to join them. There is no such thing. They normally drive opposition into exile in the jungle as Somdach Euv did.

No man's an island. In this case, we do need the foreigners to interfere for the greater change. Since the foreigners provided the operational budget for the Cambodia government; they ought to interfere more often! Khmer can't run the country. We need Youns, Thai, and others to take over.

If he is not worry about the result of the election why does he care about foreigner's influence. Please leave in peace and let the one have the qualification or ability to lead the country. I bet 3-4 terms of HUN SEN is enough.

Not to name so many of the dictators, I am naming a few for us to see or explore online or in the internet. Remember back in the 1980's. The tough leader in Romani name Nicolae Ceausescu and in Philipines Marcos Ferdinand never have thought their ending coming. For Nicolae Ceasescu was shot during his attempt to escape the country, what a sadness for him and his wife. But this guy deserved it. He was so cruel and corrupted. Please find out more. Thanks!

Well, your buddy Pol Pot causing the VN to came over to liberate us. Now, we have to treat them like Pal. We can't just tell them to get lost, can we?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Anonymous7:21 PM

No, POL POT knew the trick of YOUN regardless of incrusion or wage war on the YOUN side of not the YOUN still instigate or incite the flame of war on POL POT. Even POL POT admitted that he can't defeat the YOUN but at least he fought back and show the YOUN that Khmer never let YOUN step on them that easy. Since POL POT knew the YOUN plans, YOUN sent all spies and its secret agent into Cambodia during the rule of POL POT time and instigate each zone. Sometime the YOUN wore POL POT uniform (Black Cloth) and fought another group in certain zone. Now you wonder why the Laos hardly kill their citizen because the YOUN step on Laos so easy but not Khmer. Khmer knew the YOUN trick. When they almost kill us all they pretend to come in and liberate us. One stone so many birds.

That is the stupidest thing I ever heard off. If Pol Pot knew Yuon tricks, he would never got his ass kick all over town by Yuon. You are not making any sense here.

    My beloved friend!

Forgive me if I am completely wronged! I do confidently believe that Pol Pot historically has knew Youn's tricks.

The reason why he has evidently got his fat ass kick:

    1. he killed almost all the educated people, including our beloved comrade, who had more educated and smarter than him..

    2. after April, he was highly and boastfully proudful of himself too much, like a Mighty frog living a gloomy well.

    3. killed almost half populace.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Anonymous2:29 AM

Got his a$$ kick because the YOUN infiltrate most of their agents into POL POT clans. You should read more and analyze it. I know the history always recorded by the winner. The looser has nothing.
