Now everybody can see who lied and who said the truth about border encroachments and Cambodian farmers subsequently losing their rice fields.
In their November 16 letter to His Majesty King Father Norodom Sihanouk, the three CPP top leaders Samdech Chea Sim, Samdech Hun Sen and Samdech Heng Samrin wrote, "Up to now, not a single Cambodian farmer [living near the border with Vietnam] has lost their rice field [because of alleged border encroachments by the Vietnamese authorities]."
The December 14 visit by a SRP parliamentary delegation accompanied by many independent observers to the Svay Rieng border area exposed further evidence of countless Cambodian farmers having lost their rice fields because of real border encroachments. The evidence is irrefutable in that it is not made up of maps, GPS or other technical devices that can be tampered with. It is made up of testimonies from living persons on the spot, the very farmers who have been losing their rice fields because of continuous border encroachments.
Therefore, I committed no crime on October 25 when I pulled out purportedly tentative but actually false border markers illegally planted in the middle of Cambodian farmers' rice fields in Svay Rieng province's Samraong commune.
Regarding the accusation the Svay Rieng Provincial Court has made against me that I have destroyed "public" property, there was actually no public property involved because I only dealt with objects that were on a private property and I did it at the request of the property's legal owner who was present with me on her rice field.
Even if we suppose that public property was involved, I just pulled out six commercially worthless wooden poles. But what about those in government who destroyed millions of hectares of Cambodia's invaluable forest?

border line should use more natural landmarks like rivers, streams, etc. the way viets set up border markers seen in the picture above is out of place, right in the middle of a productive khmer rice field. that's not right!

ReplyDeleteAH HUN SEN and the rest of the CPP clan always say that the Vietcong saved Cambodian people from the Genocide! But the Vietcong leaders never said anything about saving Cambodian people! They are more interest in removing Pol Pot belligerent government and install a puppet government friendly to the Vietcong leaders!
ReplyDeleteThis is the sad part when AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave puppet government put the word in Cambodian people mouth by calling the Vietcong invasion as Vietcong liberation and for years AH HUN SEN forced all Khmer leaders, Khmer monks, and even dirt poor Cambodian people to say and to believe that it is the Vietcong liberation that save to Cambodian people!
The only part that the Vietcong leaders save are the 4 million illegal Vietnamese take resident in Cambodia! Now dirt-poor Cambodia must take on the responsibility and the burden to share what is left of Cambodia including land, natural resource, and given the full right as Cambodian citizen to do whatever they want!
It is so sad for me to know that AH HUN SEN government bring false charge such as racial discrimination against Sam Rainsy! In Cambodia today, the racial discrimination is reverse racial discrimination because the illegal Vietnamese have more right than the Khmer Krom, the Khmer Kandal, and the Khmer Oversea! Remember Monk Tim Sakhorn and he is a Khmer Krom and Khmer citizen was deported back to Vietnam to stand trial and jailed for his freedom of expression! Why didn’t Monk Tim Sakhorn stand trial and jail in Cambodia as Khmer citizen for his freedom of expression? It is because this is reverse racial discrimination enforced from highest level by AH HUN SEN Vietcong slave puppet government with the Vietcong government!

i think khmer people should be more aggressive and competitive in dealing with viets, especially! maybe, we should educate our people to think slightly different than the old days. there is nothing wrong with khmer way, it just happens that viet is next to us, and thus they are different from khmer. maybe khmer needs to adopt other advance culture in order to be competitive and aggressive, i guess.
ReplyDeletehey, who ever say viet/youn is khmer savior do not know history very well, really. of course they helped to oust the stupid, killer KR regime, however, at that time it was the right things to do, and cambodia and khmer people owe viet/youn nothing, really, considered they stole a lot from cambodia in the past and present. so, cambodia and khmer people have to learn from history and be more aggressive and competitive against viet/youn, really! there is nothing wrong with having and being khmer culture, etc, it just happened that viet/youn is khmer's adjacent neighboring country, thus, cambodia and khmer people have to learn from our history in order to serve khmer interest and protect khmer's territories, lands, culture, language, etc, etc..., really!
