    Khmer is to Cambodian as Youn is to Vietnamese. These terms should be included in standardized tests so that the Phnompenh post editor could understand them.

    Since I have been born,I lived near a river where there were people yuon to live,and we called Phum Yuon.After 1970 I learned chinese,they taught like this:
    (yueh nam,Kampuchea,china joined each other in one to defeat America)

    Many western and european scholars agree that the term "Youn" has no derogatory meaning, as noted by a young scholar Therese Guyot: "In my current study of legal Cham archives, (dated from the 18th-19th centuries), the term yuon designates kinh people, with no pejorative meaning at all, as the Annam people (Cham people use "yuon klap" when they talk about Tonkin people).

    Can you explain the meaning of the term CHAM what it's means?
    Why khmers's people use to call Algerian,Morocco,Tunisians... POUK AH CHAM? is a racist term? Champa was Hinduism not Muslim.

    yes please keep drilling all non-khmer who claim that khmer used racist language, so true. we say they don't understand how khmer talk in our language, it's the usage that seem strange to non-khmer, thus they think khmer is using racist language all of the time, not true, really! we khmer know how to use our language in many many many ways, for good or bad meaning, so non-khmer can't be telling us how to use our khmer language properly, you know! please educate the editor and more about khmer language usage. i bet you 99.9% of the time, it is misunderstood that people have in accusing others of racist etc...! please help to enlighten them all, especially those who do not know musch about cambodia, let alone our khmer language usage. only khmer and those who speak and understand khmer thoroughly and fluently can appreciate our beautiful khmer language, etc... god bless cambodia.
