Cambodia shrugs off U.S. halting shipments of military trucks

Cambodia shrugged off U.S. suspended shipments of 200 military trucks over retaliation of Cambodia's deportation of Chinese asylum seekers last year.

Koy Kong, spokesman for Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, said that Cambodia has her full sovereignty to implement its policy in deporting the illegal 20 Chinese Uighur asylum seekers back to China in December last year.

"It is the rights of U.S. government to either donate or suspend such assistance. Cambodia is implementing its own policy and laws within the frameworks of full sovereignty," Koy Kong told Xinhua.

"That means U.S. can implement their policy and we can implement ours."

Foreign media quoting United States Department spokesman P.J. Crowley said the United States informed Cambodia last month that it was suspending the shipment of 200 military trucks and trailers as a consequence of Cambodia's December decision on the illegal Chinese Uighur asylum seekers.

I'd like to see USA take a much tougher stand on this human rights violator's regime. The communists only react positively when it is being cornered. The same way Vietnam begging uncle Sam for normalization the moment USSR falling a part. USA do not feed, nor encourage Cambodia's corrupted system, please take a position and be on the side of the democrats before it's all too late.

Listen Khmer people and listen carefully, No one in the world wants your nation to be better than theirs. life is always about compare and compete and if someone say to you that he/she wants to help you, ask yourself, is it genuine, though?. Again, look at Chineses's way of life, they give zero tolerant to outsiders dictatorship, why? it is obvious that no one can fools them. The chinese's law is very simple "we must work together as a team or all for one and one for all". So, khmer gov't and people need to adapt this idealogy for good outcome. Again, when foreigner says, we have donated 20 million dollars, but where is the money? I heard only words and this is what they say, "well, we sent 50 US personals and their vicheles which cost us around $20 millions for the next 5 years, but what do they do? Infuence us how to kill each other off cause, not to help to improve,no!why? because they are the outsiders!. Right now, Chiness has 2 billion people and so as India, they are one of the supperpower nations and USA no longer can control them and as a matter of fact is threaten by them instead, why because they are no longer considered as the "big brother", no more since other nations also have their "nuclear bombs". This time, who is going to kill whom?. In the end we all will be doomed I guest, because of compare and compete and for what? since the we belong to the earth and the earth does not belong to us. Earth is a "no man land". So, what do we do? we need to beleive in Jesus Christ apply his tenth commandment theories which include; "do the right thing for the righteous will live forever and the wicked will be terminated". Wisdom
