The Sam Rainsy party rejects Hun Xen’s approval issued at the end of the Year of the Cow.
Hun Xen issued a letter wishing a happy New Year to the Cambodians as the Year of the Cow is reaching its end and will soon be replaced by the Year of the Tiger.
“This year was good for the development of the country,” Hun Xen claimed. “In spite of the sad events such as the Ketsana typhoon, or the consequences of the economic crisis, the government continued to build roads, bridges and schools.”
“Cambodians live in peace and safety,” Hun Xen added. He also paid tribute to the soldiers posted for border protection.
“Our country also sent its soldiers to insure peace missions in foreign countries, such as Sudan,” Hun Xen indicated.
Kong Korm, SRP vice-President, criticized Hun Xen’s letter, saying that this year was the year of “arrest of journalists, of people involved in land disputes, of the absence of opposition MPs among the parliament committees where only a single voice prevails,” i.e. that of the CPP.
“This year, the price of gasoline went up, the weather condition was bad for farmers and Cambodians had to face numerous hardships,” Kong Korm added.
While wishing a happy New Year to Cambodians, Kong Korm asked the government not to gloat, but rather to “take care of the people’s hardships.”

ReplyDeletei admire my prime minister mr. hun sen for his intelligence, heroic afford and reformed minded in cambodia. i really like the fact that he speak only in fluent khmer language when he talks to the international gatherings. it shows he loves khmer language, khmer people and promotes khmer language and khmer interest everywhere he goes. i wish more khmer politicians are like mr. hun sen. mr. hun sen is a real khmer hero, believe it or not. he is very effective and a good politician like my ex-king sihanouk of cambodia. may god bless my country cambodia and my good leaders.
ReplyDeleteyes, mr. hun sen speaks khmer best as it is the native tongue of cambodia. this way, it makes his expression more easy and fluent when my leader speaks in khmer. it gives me pride to hear my prime minister speaks khmer language all over the world because this way, not only he helps to promote my khmer language, it also give the interpretors job as khmer translators as well. good job, mr. hun sen. majority of khmer people like khmer loves you for caring about cambodia and cambodia's interest. god bless mr. prime minister of cambodia.
ReplyDeletemr. hun sen and the cpp are true cambodian people because they all choose to communicate in my khmer native tongue. this way, it is a lot easier to comprehend in my khmer language as i am fluent at. i love my khmer language a lot! good to see our leader not shy or not afraid to speak their mind in khmer language. long live cambodia and khmer language in the world.
