Following the set up of the Press and Quick Reaction Unit (PQRU) at the Council of Ministers with the aim of denying any accusations made against the government, the ruling CPP party is now also planning to form a Quick Reaction Youth Group (QRYG) along the provinces in order to counter the pressures exerted by the opposition party and those who criticized the CPP.
Nam Tum, the boss of the CPP Kampong Thom provincial committee group, declared on Monday that the provincial committee will educate the QRYG so that they understand political work according democracy.
However, some sources among the civil society compare this situation to the ruling CPP trying to coral youth group to brainwash them with politics or turning them into slaves to serve its political purpose. Such an action by the CPP is a danger to the youth education as well as their democratic rights to make their personal decision.
In a report dated 18 March sent to the upper level of the CPP party, Nam Tum indicated that the CPP’s QRYG in Kampong Thom will review carefully to reply to all political propagandas, such as the one stating: “The CPP is a Yuon puppet party,” “The Hun Xen regime, the longer it stays in power, the poor become poorer”, “The CPP is a dictatorship that shuts down the people’s rights” etc…
The CPP’s action is viewed as inciting people to discrimination and this will lead to the national division. The civil society said that the CPP should educate the youth group to understand the truth, to be open-minded for the national development rather that plunging these youths into one-sided politics that could lead to national division.
Regarding this issue, Yim Sovann, SRP spokesman, said: “You, [CPP] gentlemen, should resolve the roots of the problems, not setting up a quick reaction group to react against criticisms from the opposition or the NGOs.”

ReplyDeleteThis guy changed his name and fluency in Khmer since the age of Viet-Minh or Viet-Cong controlled part of Khmer Rogue that in the region of the betrayal of Khmer Rough (CPP or Hun Sen Clans).
You all got to remember that YUON not just flowing into Kampuchea during Hun Sen years 79s. They infiltrated into Khmer Rogue as well and before that in Lon Nol and before Lon Nol was Sangkom Reas Niyom too.
YUON has been infiltrated into Khmer from regimes to regimes. But during the Sangkom Reas Niyom and Lon Nol's, Pol Pot regimes our leaders can know them, find them and single them out. But during the Hun Sen regime, this CPP not just remove them or say no to them they even promote them when all these YUON agents know everything about Cambodia from inside out. They knew Khmer fluently and changed their names and got all government posts and seats nowadays.
