Recently, an anonymous reader left this threatening comment to a VOA video on Cambodian-Americans raising fund to the Cambodian embassy in Washington DC:
"ពួកអាក្បត់ជាតិបក្សប្រឆាំងទាំងអស់នេះបើបានយក
អាមេបក្សរបស់ពួកវាទៅកាត់ក្បាលចោលប្រហែល
ជាល្អមើលទៅ។ពីថ្ងៃនេះទៅបើពួកអាបក្សប្រឆាំង
ឯងរស់នៅស្រុកខ្មែរបានសុខអញកោតសរសើរ
នរណាក៏ចង់កាត់ក្បាលអាប្រឆាំងឯងចោលដែរ។"
“To all the opposition traitors,
we should take their leaders to chop
his head off, then it would look good.
From now on, if these opposition members
live in Cambodia, I would praise them
because everybody wants to chop off
the heads of the opposition members.”
After reading such callous comment, we couldn’t help but wondering if these supporters of the ruling party know how much damage such negative comment would bring to the reputation of their party? Such inflaming and discriminating comment is unbecoming of a political party that claims legal majority in Cambodia through the election. If such action were to be followed, the ruling party would be on par with the genocidal Khmer Rouge regime which reigned Cambodia by using sheer terror. The coward author of the above comment seems to forget that the ruling party claimed that it liberated Cambodia from the Khmer Rouge regime. By posting such unwise comment, this anonymous author is in fact doing a disservice to the ruling party s/he supports. Therefore, we called on the ruling CPP party to reign in and educate their party members and to, at least, teach Public Relation 101 to these bottled up radical extremists.

In a society with millions of people from different background and belief, there are off cource some opposition opinions. With these different opinions, we need to learn our respect to other opinions.

In addition, that kind of comment serves to tell the world that the ruling CPP Members are indeed the KILLERS and CRIMINALS within the Cambodian nation.
