there is nothing wrong with working overseas. the philipines do it, even thailand do it. that's why we all have embassies overseas to serve our khmer citizens, etc... get used to the idea. nothing strange about sending people to work overseas. cambodia is not unique in that aspect, you know!
i think working overseas opens people's eyes to the bigger world out there. and when the return to cambodia, they may bring back new ideas, new work ethics, new concepts, new education, etc, etc to cambodia, thus make cambodia less isolated and more global and worldly, etc, etc, you know! don't feel bad about it, just do it, but make sure to register with khmer embassies overseas for safety and accountability purpose, ok! be smart about it and be safe as well! make sure to keep contact with the khmer embassies to let them know your whereabout, etc, ok! that's all.
Go forward my dirt poor Cambodian people to the land called Thailand to work as slave just to feed your stomach for your stupid government can't create a single job for your kind! I know that my dirt poor Cambodian people go to Thailand as innocence and guilty free without reservation and if they stay in Cambodia and they will sure die of hunger! My wish upon dirt poor Cambodian people return is to bring back the hardship, the disappointment, the mistreatment by your Siem boss and I hope that my dirt poor Cambodian people still maintain their sanity and the dignity to live as human!

thailand can't abuse khmer workers because it's a bilateral thing here, not some sort of illegal workers, you know! i suggest you contact our embassy and learn more about it, nothing wrong with exchange of workers, etc... it's pretty much a normal procedure between nations all over the world, you know!
How Vietnam govt treated Chams in Champa,in Kampuchea Krom,and in Cambodia? *Chams=Vietnam govt killed them, made them poor,made them flee to the other countries:Cambodia,Lao,Thai, Malaysia etc...(14AD to 17AD. Now Chams left less than half million people. *Khmer Krom=Vietnam govt has done as same as Chams,but they fled to Cambodia(more than 2,000,000 in Cambodia,but 13,000,000 in South Vietnam;they keep fleeing to Cambodia and the third world countries. *Cambodia=Vietnam govt killed Khmer in 1970,Sihanouk called to kill Khmer all over Cambodia; it used Khmer to kill Khmer(Khmer Rouge against Khmer Vietminh). Khmer Vietminh were born in 1929, and became CCP in 1951. Now it is 60th;Hun Sen celebrated 60th ceremony. Vietnam govt is using Hun Sen as puppet to make Khmer poor,and... Now Khmer are fleeing to Thailand 80,000 legal immigrants,but not illegal;200,000 to South Korea; Taiwan,Singapore,Malaysia,and around the world;there are nonstop fleeing to abroad as blogger see every months. How about the illegal Vietnamese immigrants? 6,000,000 settled in Cambodia. 2,000 families per month. 20,000 Vietcong in seven rubber fields with 99 years contracts. 9,000 Vietnamese secret agents. If Sam Rainsy Party is dead today or tomorrow,Hun Sen becomes the king of kings and the lord of lords of Cambodia. So,Cambodians are flowing of Cambodia,Vietnamese immigrants are building up in Cambodia. Cambodia will become Champa or Khmer Krom.
Here is the problems of evicting Cambodian people from their lands and now everywhere in Asia.
