On Saturday 24 Dec, Phay Siphan, the mouthpiece of the Council of Ministers, claimed that the request to the king to release Alxander Trofimov, the Russian tycoon, was done for national interest (sic!). Phay Siphan said that the release of Trofimov was not done in exchange for development of Koh Pous Island in Sihanoukville. “First of all, his sentence was completed. He was completed one portion of his jail sentence already… Therefore, the portion of the sentence is another story, but it will clearly bring good outcome, this is why the government asked for the king to pardon him,” Phay Siphan said. This is the first time that a government official reply to criticisms against the release of Trofimov.
Somnieng Sila, director of the “Action pour Les Enfants” NGO, said : “This sex act included buying somebody etc…, therefore it is an immoral action and it greatly affects the customs of our country. Furthermore, since he [Alexander Trofimov] is rich, when the sentence is lessened too much, it could also affect the justice system in the future. The public thinks that, because he is rich, this is why the [sentence] is lessened like this. Therefore, it does not look good, even if the release is done according to the law.

អាឡិចសាន់ដ៏ ត្រូហ្វីមូហ្វ ដែលមានឈ្មោះពិតថា ស្តានីស្លាវ មូឡូឌីយ៉ាកូវ (Stanislav Molodyakov) ត្រូវបានគេចាប់ខ្លួនកាលពីឆ្នាំ២០០៧ ហើយត្រូវបានតុលាការកម្ពុជា រកឃើញថា មានទោសពីបទរំលោភក្មេងស្រីចំនួន ១៧នាក់ អាយុពី ៦ ទៅ ១៣ឆ្នាំ។ នៅប្រទេសកំណើតរូស៊ី របស់គាត់វិញ ស្តានីស្លាវ មូឡូឌីយ៉ាកូវ ឬអាឡិចសាន់ដ៏ ត្រូហ្វីមូហ្វ ក៏ត្រូវគេតាមចាប់ខ្លួនពីបទរំលោភកុមារ ៦នាក់ អាយុពី ៩ ទៅ ១០ឆ្នាំ។
ប្រទេសរូស៊ី ធ្លាប់បានសុំឲ្យកម្ពុជា បញ្ជូនខ្លួន ស្តានីស្លាវ មូឡូឌីយ៉ាកូវ ឬ អាឡិចសាន់ដ៏ ត្រូហ្វីមូហ្វ ត្រឡប់ទៅទទួលទោសនៅប្រទេសរូស៊ីវិញ ប៉ុន្តែមិនបានសម្រេច។

នេះជាលើកទីមួយហើយដែលមន្ត្រីរដ្ឋាភិបាល ឆ្លើយតបនឹងការរិះគន់ពីការស្នើសុំដោះលែងលោក អាឡិចសាន់ដ៏ ត្រូហ្វីមូហ្វ។
កាលពីថ្ងៃសុក្រ ទី២៣ ទីប្រឹក្សាផ្ទាល់របស់អតីតព្រះមហាក្សត្រ ព្រះអង្គម្ចាស់ ស៊ីសុវត្ថិ ធម្មិកោ បានមានបន្ទូលថា ការលើកលែងទោសរបស់ព្រះមហាក្សត្រធ្វើឡើងតាមសំណើរបស់រដ្ឋាភិបាល។ ព្រះអង្គបានបដិសេធមិនឆ្លើយសំណួរថា តើព្រះមហាក្សត្រលោកបានស្វែងយល់ថា ទណ្ឌិតជនជាតិរូស៊ី រូបនេះ ត្រូវបានតុលាការកាត់ឲ្យជាប់គុកចំនួន ១៧ឆ្នាំ ពីបទរួមភេទជាមួយនឹងកុមារកម្ពុជា ឬទេ?

Could Mr. Phay Siphan care enough to elaborate on this national interest? I am pretty sure a lot of people would like to know exactly what it is. The word "national interest" is so broad or so vague that it means nothing unless you can explain what it entails.
Mr. Thomico Sisowath and Mr. Sihamoni Norodom can also explain too the meaning of national interest according to which a royal pardon had to be given. I am not sure if the two misters know what it is either.
Knowing it is not important as the two misters are always ready to accomodate PM Hun Sen for anything just to get their useless and disgraceful positions anyway.
The KR leadership once said that to protect the national interest they had to eliminate their so-called enemy among the people even among their former comrades.
It must be one hell of a national interest, the most important one in the world, without which Cambodia is doomed!
