Local Media Report Says Cambodian Queen Mother Hospitalized [- Palace at pains to keep the news quiet]

February 4th 2007

DPA

Cambodian Queen Mother Norodom Monineath has been hospitalized, although the cause and the severity were unclear, a local newspaper reported Sunday. The English-language Cambodia Weekly quoted sources close to the palace, including a former secretary to her husband, King Father Norodom Sihanouk, Prince Sisowath Thomico.

"So far, I don't know if she has left the hospital or not yet," the newspaper quoted Thomico as saying.

The Queen Mother turns 71 this year. Her son, King Norodom Sihamoni, ascended to the Cambodian throne in 2004 after Sihanouk, 84, abdicated citing his age and health concerns including colon cancer and diabetes.

Both Monineath and Sihanouk maintain a residence in Beijing, China, where they have been since September and where they frequently undergo routine medical treatment.

However the Cambodia Weekly quoted sources close to the palace who did not wish to be named as saying that this time the Queen Mother had been clearly unwell with a mystery ailment. The paper indicated that the palace had been at pains to keep the news of the much-loved royal's illness quiet.

    You're kidding ?
    If Sdech Ta sihanouk had taken good advice from his Mother,Queen mother Kossamak Neary Roth,
    Cambodia's political climate wouldn't like today ----> Kgnom Yuon.
    Monique was an Evil-Fox,who always was/is behind the scene to destroy Cambodia & its people.
    The Khmer-Monarchy's feud was sparked from the 2 places :
    1) Royal Palace---> Queen Mother
    2) Chamkar Mon ---> Monique
    Cambodia under the ruling of Sdech Ta,Sangkum Reatr Nyum,was guided by a powerfull group from Chamkar Mon of Monique.Khek Vandy,Monique's ex boyfriend,and his family the Khek inc.were running the whole shows until they were out from the power in 1970.
    Monique in the past.... and now we have Bunrany inch.in Cambodia.

    Agree, but we all know misteries

    ocean, the creature,..., and they
    are all for us to factually
    conquered, not virtually conquered.

    "Nothing is Permanent."
    In spite of the facts that HM King Ta helped the monster Yuan Ho Chi Mienh which led to the destruction of Cambodia, Her Majesty Queen Yeay cannot be blamed for her husband's mistakes.
    ===============================
    I Wish HER Majesty Queen Yeay for a quick Recovery.

    GOD SAVE HER MAJESTY UNTIL SHE REACHES at least 100 years old.

    Highest Respect to HM Queen Yeay

    ;-) Eh, my friend, 9:32 AM.
    Do you get paid to lie about me?
    hahahehehe...
    Your job is to follow my comments. I like that.
    You make me feel so special. hehehehe... Do you know I like to brag about myself and many time I'm somehow arrogant. You will be more mad if you see me in person that I am a very good looking person.

    Hoofff feeling so great to be chased my Hun thugs.

    Eh, I get to sleep.

    C-Ya hehehehehe...

    Yes moi28, it's normal to feel good about yourself. Mind you, don't let those Hun thugs see what you look like, no matter how good-looking you are! If they could identify you they would send their hitmen after you. Now, that's not the kind of popularity you want to have!

    This Internet forum allows us to express ourselves freely. Even some of the Hun thugs now embrace this technology, which is a good thing. The best thing to come would be for Hun Sen to submit himself to a live debate on TVs and radios. At the moment, it's only one-way communication. He says something, his submissive media outlets just broadcast it. No chance of responding to him freely and publicly, unless one wants to end up in Prey Sar Prison without trial.

    By the way, I always wish any hospitalised human-beings, regardless of their social status, political conviction, race and history, an imminent return to good health. So, King-Mother or Samdech Yeay, please accept my sympathy and my best wishes for a speedy recovery!

    Okay, I agree with your third
    paragraph, but not first and
    second.

    In regard to safety, one should
    not talk politic with strager,
    even a minor. It is not the
    government that is the problem,
    but the loyalists, that is the
    Pro-CPP, Pro-Royalist,..., or
    Pro-SRP. They are toooo serious
    people, just the way khmer is, and
    they are beyond the control of the
    government.

    As for debate, are you trying
    to take my job away? LOL. Just
    tell me when and where and what
    the rules are, okay?

    Well, 12:09PM and 12:57PM and 12:58PM (trying to clutter up this space?), if you expanded your horizon by watching independent medias and reading independent publications then you would have some clue as to what you're talking about. Without any fresh ideas, your comments are just a mantra from the CPP proganda, which we have all heard before (yawn...). It's just like debating with a KR cadet, and there are always rules (Rule No. 1: Comrade Boss is always right, Rule No. 2: if Comrade Boss is wrong, Rule No. 1 applies). As you can see here, you're free to say what is on your mind - no rules, which means freedom of expression.

    Ghost town here? Most people don't have much time loitering on the Internet for hours, because they have something else to do, called "Work". I guess you're one of the few dying breeds having nothing else to do, except wagging your tail at the CPP command. Nothing wrong with that if that's what you choose your life to be.
