As a content manager to a local newspaper and author in the field of humanity, to me, in general, journalists and media entities in Cambodia do not reach even the in-country standards of journalistic skills, professionalism and ethics, as stipulated in the Cambodian legal instrument and codes of conduct. To be more precise, journalists need to be more precise with the Cambodian language and use correct vocabulary. They need to possess knowledge of human rights and human dignity; do not publish disgusting pictures or words or any thing that provoke violence. Last but not least, journalists should adhere to the Cambodian law on journalism.
If we just let these social defects prevail, real democracy, human resource development, and above all, all social-sectoral developments will be sluggish. Government, legal entities concerned and individuals of the profession should know and learn to be professional.

I do agree with the opinion. I think that some of journalist in Cambodia lack of appropriate trainig and formation.

I do not want to confuse the public that this is an institutional opinion, it is just my personal opinion. The source of this article that you got from the University of California, Los Angeles already removed my workplace.
