Cambodian King Father Norodom Sihanouk returned home from China Sunday after spending nearly seven months overseas receiving routine medical treatment.
Sihanouk, who abdicated the throne in favour of his son, King Norodom Sihamoni, in October 2004, was greeted at Phnom Penh International Airport by dignitaries including Prime Minister Hun Sen.
Accompanied by wife, Queen Mother Norodom Monineath, the pair looked fit, but said nothing to waiting journalists before getting into their official vehicle and driving directly to the Royal Palace.
Sihanouk, 84, announced previously that Chinese doctors had advised him that he had beaten a second bout of colon cancer, but the ageing royal still suffers from a range of health problems including diabetes and high blood pressure.
He arrived home in time to celebrate Khmer New Year next week - one of the most important social and religious holidays in the Cambodian calendar.

This guy has nothing better to do always come and go like crazy and he is wasting people's valuable time for going to greet him each time. I hope he dies in Cambodia before his next trip.
