According to a high-raking CPP official, the illness of Prime Minister Hun Sen, who had to cancel his meeting with Nguyen Phu Trong, Vietnam Assembly chairman, last Thursday, is not very serious and his condition has improved on Sunday. Chiem Yeap, CPP MP, told RFA that Hun Sen has a serious flu which forced him to cancel a number of working sessions. Chiem Yeap said that Hun Sen missed the meeting to announce the final commune election results on Saturday because of chest pain, large secretion of mucus, and headache. However, Chiem Yeap said that Hun Sen’s condition is not serious because his personal doctor is constantly on standby near him. Because of illness, Hun Sen also canceled a meeting of the council of ministers on Friday. There is no indication as to when Hun Sen will be able to return back to work.
I hope Hun Sen does not contracts AIDS from Thailand. So his symptoms seem catching on as he is aging.
