Satellite radio now reaches Cambodia, will it counterbalance the CPP propaganda?

Satellite Radio Program to Educate on Human Rights, Democracy

Thida Win, VOA Khmer
Original report from Ban Teay Meanchey
14/05/2007

A USAID satellite radio initiative will be an important educator on human rights and democracy, the US ambassador to Cambodia said over the weekend.

Radio programs can inform villagers on how to keep their land from theft and to live a more secure life, the ambassador, Joseph Mussomeli, said on a visit to a radio station in the border town Poipet.

The Equal Access Organization has distributed satellite radios in 75 communes across five provinces, with more planned, as part of the program.

Thank you to the US for helping
us with the mean to communicate
with our people. I hope this
doesn't cost too much because our
    people is still poor yet.

Media is the primary concern of Communist Regime. They try to manipulate all tactics to ban media not to arrive people...

Communist Regime is really afraid of people power that can explicitly happen from MEDIA.

12:20, the reason that Cambodia is
still poor is no difference than
why Ah Khmer-Gringoes in Long Beach
    is still poor.

and 12:47, we just want to use
this media to deliver Lakaun Bassac
to villagers to keep them from
getting bored. We would not use it
for politic, alright? I hope you
    don't mind.

2:19 PM attacking your own people. You use the language "KHMER-GRINGOES" So you are KHMER-MEXICAN. Wich makes you from somewhere around the Long Beach Area since mexico is just south of the border. Talk as if the are better than khmer people living in Long Beach. How much better are you? These people don`t even know you. Welfare? I bet your parents were once on it or still on it..like SSI? Let me refresh your memeories. They were on it when they first arrive to the United States, which constitutes that they were on it too. Not only you are hating on those that are less fortunate, but degrading your own PARENTS is even less of a human. Your response to this won`t change a thing.

Wrong, just because I like corn
chips, it doesn't mean I came from
mexico. We got it from India. It
is called "Nom Kleugn" here, and
it is not flat either. It is a
    small reddish round crunchy donut.
Yummy ... I will make a note to get
some when I go to the market
tomorrow. Eat your heart out, Ah
    Khmer-Gringo.

By the way, I forgot to comment
on the title of this threat.
Instead, it should read as follow:
"Satellite radio now reaches Cambodia, will it
    counterbalance the KI Media propaganda?"
