These insects are for eat, why disgusting? Better than fat cheese with high calories and sooner we'll have a heart attack. I just hope Ah Kvak keeos smoking so he can die with lung cancer.
Mounttain insect and ricefield are safe to eat, they are rich in protein, perhaps better than the meat you buy at the market which contain high hormone injection and chemical to preserve the freshness.
Like in any country, after war there's always strange food on the menu. This food is new to Cambodian.
Even in the first world countries, such as the U.S., they organise an annual World Explorers' event where such delicacies are on display and for consumption. There are stuff even Cambodians would dare to eat, such as cockcroaches and maggots. But, they're supposed to be full of protein.
This young boy is a bit fat because he eats something else, such as burger. Otherwise, there won't be anything for him to sell!

Those black cockcroaches are not the same cockcroaches we see in the house.
ReplyDeletePeople can eat everything as long as they can eat. In srok Yuon they eat dogs, Chinese eat monkeys or more we don't see about.
This fat boy may not eat these cockcroaches but he may eat a lot of chieckn pork or beef or burger and a lot of rice with less vegetables.
