Prime minister Hun Sen will leave for the Republic of Korea (South Korea) on Sunday 24 February, to participate in the swearing in ceremony of Lee Myung Bak, the new South Korean president who was recently elected. Hor Nam Hong, the vice-prime minister and minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, recently told reporters that he will accompany Hun Sen to this swearing in ceremony which will take place on 25 February 2008 in Seoul. Hor Nam Hong said that Hun Sen’s visit will bring benefits to the Cambodian people, and it will strengthen the cooperation relationship between the two countries. Hun Sen will hold a bilateral talk with Lee Myung Bak in Seoul also.
The prime minister of Cambodia and foreign affairs minister will undoubtedly bring enormous benefits for the high-profile government officials, and will excrutiatingly brings tremendous sufferings and tribulations for the stricken-poverished people during their inaugural visit for the newly elected prime minister of South Korea.
ReplyDeleteThis trip does really waste state money. Even the rich countries just send letters to congratulate, but the poor-country prime minister Hun Sen leads group of people to attend ceremony only in the hope to beg more money.
ReplyDeletei think it good that cambodia is making friends overseas, although, i wish cambodia would send their delegates to the USA to ask for technical supports and expertise. i wonder why they never come to america to ask for help with cambodia. i think the US gov't would be more than happy to help in many ways.
ReplyDeletei think it's good that mr. hun sen and delegates are coming to korea(i suggest all future leaders of cambodia ought to travel to different countries of the world so it can open their eyes to see what other nations are well-developped, etc; in a way, it educates one to see and admire the beauty of our planet as well). i think traveling the world over allows one to see thing from a different angle and to expose a leader to development of other countries like korea, japan, the USA, europe, etc. it helps to open their eyes to see the prosperity of other nations which cambodia is study to develop our country in order to be productive society both for cambodia and the world as well. in other words, travels make one realizes that potential for growth is everywhere, especially given cambodia was underdevelopped for so long already, or lack of.
ReplyDelete8:23AM, US has no interest with Cambodia at all, politic or economic. VN is a US backup in the future, I beleive. Cambodian King is now in China that can be snapped Cambodian relationship to US. Hun Sen accused by Global Witness lately that prevent him from coming to US.
