Was there no alternative at all to killing that monkey? It was very much inhumane and very cruel to kill it. Could it not be caught and then released in the wild somewhere?

Its punishment was not proportional to its crimes (biting, not killing people, biting fellow monkeys, sniffing glue).

I myself visited Wat Phnom when I visited Cambodia for the first time in 26 years. Most of the monkeys are scary and I'm not dare to touch them. Because their eyes look yellow and some of them seems like drunken people. I'm sure they sniffed the drug. Even the boys begged for money, they spoke in different tone of voice and it's hard to understand what they said. I don't give any penny to those boys because they might buy drug. There're also Vietnamese speaking people at the monument.

These monkeys might carry disease and not like other monkeys at Angkor Wat or other temples outside Phnom-Penh; they're much pleasure to play with.

Hun Sen used to kill people. When it comes to the monkey, there's the only solution to get rid of the monkey by Hun Sen firing squad. They should catch those bad monkeys and treat them for their bad behavior. Then, release them to the forest.

6:43 PM you have reasonable commemts, the bad Monkeys should be catch to get appropriated treatment then release its back. These monkeys must somehow adicted to drugs envirenment around Wat Phnom Park; this is the first step that Hun Sen must looking for primerilly symthom is to investigating rather than killing them. Thinks twice Mr. Hun Sen don't get adicted to the killing like your boss where you got master degree from.
May god saves and protected Khmer people.

I agree that killing that monkey is very cruel because it is only an animal!
Just release it to the forest, the problem is resolved.

What if that monkey has disease? releasing the sick monkey to bite another animals like cows?

Dear 11:43PM that is the reason I had just said (10:25PM), the monkeys have to have appropriated treatment first before released back to whereever; then they are save from any contagious disease.

May lord Budha protected Khmer all

Treatment while the moneky biting people? Saving human lives first before saving the animals.

Besides in Cambodia there is nothing to treat when humans are not being treated as humans.

We are Buddhists but to call Lord Buddha to protect only Khmers when we are committing too much bad deeds? T'veu BAB ban BAB, Tveu Bonn ban Bonn.
Buddha's native land is Nepal, and He cannot save His own people, and why is that?

When you allowed a wild animals to roam the city for 10 years, it will resort to violence in some way. And I don't mean monkey. Yet, these animals carried a contagious disease....... a disease that will neutralize the Khmer populations. These animals need to be tranquilized or put out of it's misery so others not affected. Once an animal, always an animal!

3 43AM. I told 12:42 AM that Buddha cannot bless or save anyone including his own people in Nepal.
Did my response wrong or you are wrong for not reading every word I wrote?

Buddha said we have to help ourselves, is not different from He cannot save or bless us the same thing.

All we need more Buddhist knee jerk like you to just go after everyone's arse for your own faults, Cambodia will soon be a pawn of outsiders.
