The government has offered Cambodian citizenship to four Thai nationals by royal decree dated July 14 and signed by King Norodom Sihamoni. A 1996 Law on Nationality states that foreigners can apply for nationalisation only if they have good morality, a clean criminal record and have lived in Cambodia for the past seven years at a permanent address and are able to speak and write Khmer. A Thai embassy spokesman in Phnom Penh said that he has not yet received any information on the Thai nationals being offered citizenship.
Send them to fight the thai invaders at the border as a test for citizenship.

sometime feel so sad because some of our leaders are handycap. yuon and siam changed their heart. So that they are negative. ( Most of them get married with yuon or siam).

I feel symphaty to Napadon, he should receive a Khmer(Cambodian citizenship) because only him know the law espcially int'l law better than others in Thailand.
ReplyDeletei don't have any problem with this granting of khmer citizenship to foreigners, given they respect and know our laws and respect and love our culture and, of course, show afford to learn and speak our khmer language. bottom line, if they are good citizen with no criminal or felons background and most definitely, if they care and love cambodia as much as khmer people love our country, why not grant them khmer citizenship. plus, in today's world, it is always a good idea to be multi-lingual. of course, they have to pledge allegiance to cambodia. god bless cambodia.

One easy way to bring them to Cambodia is just bringing one by one in car, so many people thought they were boyfriend and girl friend or family. Then, they can get $1,500 easily in each case.
Korean can get citizenship as soon as they just arrive in Cambodia and bought many land. When the land price went up to the maximum price, they sold to Cambodians and they brought money home.
Hah! Hah! Hah!
this is why the rule of law in very important. as long as people can respect the local custom and laws, etc... they are all welcome to cambodia, in my opinion. god bless cambodia.
ReplyDeleteWe are human being, some are good some are bad. We have the right to get a double nationality, if we are eligible for it.That can benefit both Countries.
ReplyDeleteDon't be narrow-minded. Why not accept foreigner as Khmer Citizen when they come bringing their skill and Knowledge?
I prefer my son marry a Vietnamese girl or a Thai girl, instead of Khmer girls who are daughters of corrupt CPP officials.
If Thais want to be Khmer, give it to them.
