Could Hun Xen win an unbiased court?

Mu Sochua, Cambodia opposition figure. [Robert Carmichael]

Hun Sen opponent loses defamation case

Tuesday, August 04, 2009
By Robert Carmichael, Phnom Penh
ABC Radio Australia

Cambodia's Prime Minister Hun Sen has won a defamation case against a former women's affairs minister.

Some observers say the case, one of a number brought against government critics, is part of a concerted crackdown.

A court in Phnom Penh fined the prominent opposition MP $US4,000 after ruling she had defamed Hun Sen.

Mu Sochua was sued after she brought a defamation case against him earlier in the year.

Her case was thrown out of court several months ago.

About half of the fine must be paid to Hun Sen and the rest goes to the state.

Cambodia's courts are subject to political interference, so observers had expected a guilty verdict.

The ruling follows the hearing 12 days ago when Mu Sochua told the court she would not testify in her defence since she could not find a lawyer to represent her.

Her previous lawyer was forced to quit after coming under intense political pressure.

Lady, you are utterly ignored, disregard, and disrespect the country's judicial system. As an opposition leader, you're not only have to know and understand the rules of leadership, it's important, however, you also must know and understand the rules of law of the country. You have to respect the verdict. Moreover, since she was not exculpated of the crime in which she has perpetrated--she's no longer innocent. Again, the verdict must be respected.

In US court or unbiased court, Hun Sen may win or may not, it depends on how good his lawyers are.

With billion US dollars like Hun Sen who steals from Cambodia, I suspect the unbiased court may find him guilty and he may be forced to pay Mu Sochau and pay the traffic court multi million of US dollars and Mu Sochua may pursue further for sexism.

Hun Sen will more likely lose the cases or may be lead to be impeached from the highest Office or may be going to jail for many crimes he has committed against many lives and against his country.

Ps: Unbiased court in Cambodia does not exist.

If I were the judge I would throw her in jail for her behavior. She is a good opposition, but her behave is very bad. We should have a better opposition like Kyujee in Burma. She cannot be compared to Kyutee at all. People choose her because they don't have a better choice.

Having said that, let me say this: now, it is the perfect time for her to serve time behind bars for behavior modification prior to reintegrating her into civil society so she does not imperil to the society.

See, as I said 10 days ago that "If the Court found the disgrace Mu Sochua not guilty, SRP and its stupid supporters will applause that the Court is independent and impartial, by contract, if the same Court found the disgrace Mu Sochua guilty, SRP and its supporters will point their fingers blame to the Court". Now, it becomes the reality. So, as long as Cambodia's court doesn't give any verdict which is disgrace Mu Sochua wanted, SRP and its supporters will condemn to the Court no matter what they have broken the laws in Cambodia.

If the disgrace Mu Sochua is brave as she always said all along that, she's happy going to jail rather than pay the fine, she should honour her word and don't need to pay fine 16.5 Million Riel and let see what will happen??

In my view, I am sure that she will pay the fine and uses SRP's policy which wants to end this defamation case as an excuse to cover up her coward act.

    PPU,
this time you will win, but next you will be like her. Your argument is blind and like Khmer Rouge's radio propaganda between 1970-75, I can tell you once, in 1974 Khmer Rouges alerted Lon Nol Soldier´base in KG. Chhnang. A day late, KR´s Radio reported the outcome:
    - Lon Nol`s Soldiers: 160 dies and X injured
    - Khmer Rouge: 7 injured
In fact, that I saw on the filed:
    - Khmer Rouge: 150 dies on the
    felds an X-Injered
    - Lon Nol`s Soldiers: 1 die, 10
    dies.
Somebody how has stated in this blog against/opposite your Idiologie you convict them as the opposition, it is wrong. I am not opposition like the others but I believe what is right, wrong and also respect for life of people, (only KR not respect, like Duch today in Prison).

The verdict is out; the guilty one must respect the court's decision whether you like it or not -- it's the law -- and the court has found her guilty. Therefore, if she does not accept the court verdict, she's not respecting the law of the country. After all, she's one of the law maker (how ironic?).

The judge was judicially interpreted the law--not legislate from the bench. Therefore, it is not ignominiously to acknowledge the guilt, since the culprit one was the one who perpetrated this act.

I hope the donor countries will know that they have been donating their money to the dictatorship government and corrupted government.
Ah PPU and Ah Khmer Australian , now your corrupted court has found that Mu Sochua is guilty of defamation your one eye Master , why don't you two go get her and put her in jail ? Thats what you all wanted and have been saying it all along she will be in jail ... according to your Hanoi School of Law .

Hun Sen and his CPP think that they will have their own oil export in the next few years , so they don't care if they don't get anymore donations from those donor countries that's why they don't listen to anyone .

Acorrding to your statement , you judge people by how you feel .. not by the law because guilty of defamation don't suppose to put people in jail . you are perfect to replace that judge after he has been retired .

Ah PPU , she has the right to take that case to the supreme court if she doesn't agree with the court decision.
Who says that if she doesn't agree with the court decision she doesn't respect the law ? Are you talking about the law of the country or the law of CPP ?
You better stop voicing your idiotic oppinion here and go kiss Hun Sen's ass .

The president of Red Cross of Cambodia (Bun Rany) had order Hok Lundy to murder Piseth Pilika.  Because Hun Sen was having an affaire with Piseth Pilika.

    Source:  Statement of Heng Peov
    http://ia311543.us.archive.org/1/items/HengPoevStatementofHengPoev/Statement_of_Heng_Peov.pdf

Bun Rany is Hun Sen's wife.
Hok Lundy is Phnom Penh Municiple Police Chief and member of Hun Sen Death Squad.
Piseth Pilika is an Apsara dancer and a movie star.

The Red Cross should not have a murderer as a president.

Politicians win again and moronic supporters lose. Sochua gets her cut off the money from the dumbass donors and Hun Sen got his cut with the fine fee. Toast to the politicians for playing the game well in exploiting the dummies that once again don't disappoint in being played. Well done, Sochua and Sam Rainsy.

So, what happens to the surplus donated fund now? While all you idiots are thinking you won anything, the real winners are celebrating and spending your money. Thank you, from both Sochua Sam Rainsy and Hun Sen, all you dummies.

  23. Anonymous6:39 PM

Real winners: Hun Sen, Sam Rainsy, and Sochua
Losers: whoever donated to pay the fines

Let me tell you something for those who read my comment. You are not doing anything good for the country by supporting any group of political party. You're just contributing to a clan of people that you want to be part of. So don't go around thinking like you have done so much for the country with your money when in reality all the money you spent went toward benefiting an exclusive group only.

Stop being a fucking political tool that feel the need to belong so much and be your own independent person. Stop giving money to politician and instead go to build and do shit for the people. That is what contributing to the country really means.

We know Ms. Mu sochua will be found guilty by the court of Cambodia.

We know Mr. Hun Sen's law suit would stick, while Ms. Mu Sochua's law suit will against Mr. Hun Sen will fail.

There cannot be any other outcomes. We are talking about creditability. Mr. Hun Sen must be seen by those below as strong.
In Cambodia, being strong means everything. It means stability, which would in turn allows those with financial means to conduct businesses and ensure that whatever trickle down benefit the vast majority of Cambodian.

We all know that every country is corrupted. The different between Cambodia and other countries is that Cambodia are still amaturish at it. It practices corruption with brute force and no sense of style.

Take the case of Ms. Mu Sochua for example. Two cases are being put forwarded, but the one belonging to the powerful got heard while the one belonging to the less powerful got dumped. This is pure power play... and anyone with any thought in his mind can see..

But the question, we all should be asking is why are Khmer people allowing Mr. Hun Sen's to win even thought they all know that he was disrespecting their womenhood? Better yet, why are the opposition still playing Mr. Hun Sen game knowing that the court is controlled by Mr. Hun Sen.

Could it be that the opposition and Mr. Hun Sen are in bed together, and airing dirty laundary for donor consumption...?

What exactly were her defamatory statements? As usual the rabble are only discussing he said/she said, and not getting to the FACTS. Publishing the exact details of her defamatory statement, and why the court ruled it defamatory would allow everyone to make their own mind up about how well the court did their job.

I thought you are in Cambodia to work under the SOM RAINSY' party and serve the country, and later on you cause problem with Samdech Daychu Hen Sen. This is because of little things of Samdech’s addressed during the conference. People always make mistake no matter what. Samdech Daychu he has the power, I always like the way he presented and speeches. You think you are Perfect and only one brilliant woman in Cambodia. You can fight what you want. You think you can get the power from your supporter. I don't think it'll last. Get your ugly face out of here and Cambodia. For those who support her in abroad, why don’t you go to help her win the case? Com’ on let go to Cambodia to help her. This is because you feel so painful and unfair to her case. Also, for those who feel that Samdech Daychu Hen Sen is a dump ass, I would suggest you should run the country instead. Right? Get your Lady Mu sochua out would you ?

I understand all your words however, can you see concerning Lady Mu Sochua’s case. Let me make this short, Mrs. Mu Sochua is ‘Khmer” and Samdech Daychu Hun Sen is ‘Khmer”, thus why she keeping fighting because of her case. I remember the story in regard to Samdech Daychu speech during a conference at Kampot province; he mentioned that a woman in Kampot province took off her shirt and rushing to hug a man during the general campaign. This was a little thing, I mean a little she cause problem. It’s not bad comment at all. Also, as I always say to Khmer and Khmer should stop fighting, if we all do, Youn will take over. I noticed some writer in here said that they hate ‘Youn’, so do I. I am Khmer too; my hometown is in Siem Reap, Srock Pdak. I jointed Khmer Rouge since 1975. I have never killed my people as to the other Khmer Rouge soldier did. I wish I have time to tell you more about. Please unite Khmer and Khmer. Remember! If you continue to fight with your bloodline, you will lose and ’Youn’ will take over. Do not hate Khmer Rouge, if you kill all khmer Rouge that mean you kill your Khmer nation.

Well to answer your irritate questions, I use my neck as “AngkorianMan” because my home town is in Siem Reap, I was born in Srok Pdak. I am very black Khmer who work so hard under the sun, I was stationed near Angkor Wat temple during Khmer Rouge rule, so I named after my station there. There’s not thing wrong wearing Krama, its Khmer product, it’s been produced since day one, during Angkor Wat era. If you hate it, that’s your problem. Can you see in Cambodia, most the people using Krama, it’s identify “Khmer”.

Also, I am not perfect in writing in English compare to the other people here in this site. I am 56 years old. I’d have been hornets to tell you that I was a former Khmer Rouge, and you hate me. It’s shame on you MAN! And yes! You can say whatever you want, I am dump or stupid etc. what? I don’t really care. I am Khmer and you are too. Khmer Rouges NOT ALL BAD Okey!
