Thailand's PAD rally against Thaksin, Hun Sen kicks off in Bangkok

BANGKOK, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- The People's Alliance for Democracy's (PAD) protest against ousted former Thai premier Thaksin Shinawatra and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen kicked off on Sunday in Thailand's capital Bangkok.

The PAD protesters or the yellow-shirted people officially started their protest at Sanam Luang in the center of capital Bangkok from 04:00 p.m. local time.

The rally was occurring after Thailand and Cambodia have downgraded their diplomatic relations due to conflict over an appointment of Thaksin as an economic advisor to Cambodia's government and Hun Sen on Nov. 4.

A day after the appointment of Thaksin, the Cambodian government announced recall of its ambassador to Thailand in a move to respond to the Thai government's recall of its ambassador to Cambodia.

Perhaps we should rally in Phnom Penh to show some support for the retaliatory policy of the Royal Government of Cambodia as well!

After all, PM Hun Sen has given them a lot of headache so far.

Let's forget for a while how we think of Hun Sen; we will deal with that later. For now, let show the Thais that we are ready to deal with their stupidity and aggression over Cambodia.

don't forget a law passed against any demonstrations by hun sen.
At least in thailand they can demonstrate whereas in hun sen jungle land you have to ask permission just to go to the bathroom.

You are able to organize demonstrations, only you are on the same track of the Thai military.

The internal and international situation of Cambodia is stronger than the situation in Thailand.

Cambodia has no political crisis and civil war that threatens its stability and security in contrast to Thailand with the war in the south with Muslims and Thai repeated coups and economic crises worsen.

Cambodia has no reason to be afraid of thailand.

The Royal Government of M. Hun Sen should do even then more pressure on Abhisit until his government explodes.

In the coming days Phnom Penh can organize such an international forum devoted to the topic :

"Thailand is it still a democracy?"

All activists and all Democrats and all organizations fighting for democracy in Thailand and worldwide will be invited to discuss this issue and propose solutions to restore the democratic process in Thailand.

Down with the lunetic PAD and the Democrat. I agree with 4:46. The PAD and Abbhishit want to have Preah Vihear, to annul the 1907 treaty and take back Battambang, SiemReap etc back as "lost Thai territories". We Want our lost Khmer lands back also such as Trat (Trach), Chanthaborey, Surin, NokorReachSeyma (Nokorn RajSima)and more. We can join with Thaksin to overthrow this power grabbing illegal, unelected Abbhishit's goverment. Without these lawless Abbhshit and PAD gangs, Khmer Thai people can live in a properous peacefull world again.

At least Thai had the gut to stand up to protest against the government and the government did good job in protecting the protesters. In Cambodia if we dare doing that our government will throw grenade at us just like it did in 1997. Thai government allows freedom of expression and freedom of demonstration while Khmer government banned those things. Which country deserved to be praised?

Cambodia is under rules of a murderous totalitarian regime since polpot time, nothing really change just some aspect and tactics of killing

in Cambodia if you dare to make any manifestation against the regime cpp or yuons, you will be or jail or kill. cpp already killed monks and other pacific manifestors and other were secretly suppressed by the regime one after other because they denounce the regime and claimed for some social justice.
