On January 25, opposition leader Sam Rainsy took part in a radio call-in show on the border issue. He elaborated on the latest evidence contained in a 15-sheet file (available at http://tinyurl.com/y9d7qho) exposing border encroachment in the commune of Samraong, in Svay Rieng province where he recently pulled out a fake border post that was illegally planted on a Khmer farmer’s rice field, well within Cambodia’s territory.

After listening to the call-in show, I feel so sad about the fate of the future of Cambodia as the Vietnamese is undeniably encroaching into our land. At the same time, I 'm so sorry for some Khmers who still don't understand that we Khmers are victimized by the Vietnamese. So please stop condenm Mr. Sam Rainsy. He's one of the victims. The border issue is not about Sam Rainsy, it's about the Vietnamese invasion of Cambodia. Mr. Sam Rainsy and all Khmers, except Hun Sen and his clan, are trying hard to protect our land from the invading Vietnamese. We all need to recognize the problem before we can solve it. Please put our differences aside, and work together to protect our land first. History clearly tells about the Vietnamese ambition and expansionism. It happened in the past; it's happening now and it will happen in the future, if she has the opportunity.

Let's focus on the issues of illegal border posts. Not an issue about khmer v. yuon, because we are eternally two neighbors, and as any good neighbors woud do, we have to have mutual respect for each other and for the laws that govern international boundaries.

ReplyDeleteWhat Xam RainXy has showed his own map and alleged that the border demarcation posts from #184 to #187 were wrongly planted inside Cambodia's land between 300 metres to 500 metres, is just another lie which he and his self name party tries to blind Khmer people. It is the same way that he said he will take this issue to International Court and will come back to Cambodia soon, but so far, there is no International Court and he just shamely hides himself in France and barking likes a mad dog.

Remember this: Mr. Sam Rainsy does not ever need to bother himslef with any of the Cambodian issues, but he loves the Khmer people that much that he becomes so brave as expressed in the Japanese saying that "Even if there are a million foes, I go for the the cause of justice!" Mr. Sam Rainsy is the only lifeline for the Khmer folks, if he is gone, there goes the hope.

ReplyDeleteThe radio host is unprofessional, he wanted to crunch too much in a small time so he allowed multiple questions to be asked at one time which cause a lot of confusion and selective answering from Sam Rainsy.
ReplyDeleteMy suggestion is to make your radio clear, take one audience question at a time. It is better to be clear and professional then to appear biased and confused.
I am supporter of MP Sam Rainsy, but I also fervent supporter of Mam Sonando idea of unity of democracy loving Khmers.
Sam Rainsy must work to unite all the moments or unite with them. This is clearly as he said, not a battle of Sam Rainsy, but a battle of the whole nation so he cannot do this by himself.
Sam Rainsy work with your party to make a democratic coalition possible.
The evidense is so real, why Ah Hun Sen-CPP and Svay Rieng court are still on Ah Chhor Yuon side and pledge to punish their own Khmer who only try to protect our own people and our own country?
