Pyongyang, March 22 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il was presented with a gift in the joint name of Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen President of the Senate Chea Sim and President of the National Assembly Heng Samlin who are members of the leadership of the Central Committee of the People's Party of Cambodia.
The gift was handed to Chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly Choe Thae Bok who is secretary of the C.C., the Workers' Party of Korea by visiting Som Chen, chairman of the Cambodia-DPRK Friendship Parliamentary Group, on Monday.

This regime has a government that is not by the will of Cambodian people and does not represent the interest of Cambodians People, and this government assumed power by a bloody coup on 5-6 July 1997. Subsequent elections that have allowed them continual power have not been free and/or fair and are rejected by the Cambodian people.
This government, having ruled the country now for almost three decades, has committed numerous human rights violations, such as restraining freedom of press, manipulating justice in their courts, and carrying out unlawful evictions for land-grabbing, leaving thousands of Cambodians homeless nation-wide. The inhumane acts of this government against human rights abuses against us as Cambodian people are wholly unacceptable.
We, therefore, must destroy this regime and its distrustful government in order to obtain real peace, freedom, and justice and democracy. This is what the Cambodian people must do in the near future.
