Cambodia, Thailand, and Vietnam must not be allowed to hold the position of ASEAN Secretary General (SG). Non of the countries will be impartial in the issues of their long standing border dispute. The person that is holding the position of SG of ASEAN is untenable that is Mr Surin Pitsuwan must step down or resign from the position immediately.

i like the fact that mr. surin is professional as indicated by his letter of apology. however, i think in the future, asean general secretary should not meddle in the internal affairs of the memebers' state, really! only time can tell the truth. we'll see.
the letter sounded sincere. being biased by the commissioned or appointed chairman is never professional in the first place, though! it was wrong for him to show bias toward a memeber state like cambodia. good thing that cambodia protested this, otherwise, surin wouldn't apologize sincerely.
