Contemporary imperialism in Cambodia

Observers and analysts has vehemently categorized Cambodia in a state of "Contemporary Imperialism" anatomy at the present.

Thus, Vietnamese attempt is not omnipotent. Vietnamese are human. Cambodians are human. All humans have flaws in itself. The attempt to Vietnamize over Cambodia in the current policy might be successful, or might be entirely re-acted back to their country until splitting in pieces. Some historical records showed us that Ho Chi Minh was a Chinese agent, but for his own ambition, Uncle Ho fully disintegrated himself from China. If Gen. Hok Lundy obeyed all commands from Vietnam, he might be able to live another decades. In the meantime, group of Southern Vietnamese leadership is not always obedient to inferior Northern Vietnamese incumbents. By nature, people don't want to succumb to power in their whole life, they need freedom and build their own fame as well. To handle with this, Vietnam has tried to build their own businesses and investments in Cambodia to maintain the status of those Vietnamese agents working inside Cambodia. But Vietnam is facing with China, their big brother from the North. But to maintain their absolute goals, Vietnam has to be friendly with China and opened heart to work with all fields with China. More Chinese investment sprawling in Cambodia, more Vietnamese populations are growing up in Cambodia to counterbalance for the achievement of their goal.

The statement is not merely made up. The tendency of this country is at the blink of risk and is splitting out from the scope of the international laws.

First, analysts have considered on the failure of the United Nations Transitional Authority of Cambodia (UNTAC) in tackling with the former communist bloc. This bloc is formed by the embodiment of Russia and China in anointing Vietnam as their special agent implementing in Southeast Asia. As the matter of fact, current leaders within the CPP are formerly communist agents which have emerged from both the Khmer Rouge of Pol Pot and Communist Activists of Cambodian People Party (CPP). Many scholars including David Chandler and Michael Vickary accepted that both Kampuchea Democratic Party and Cambodian People Party are the inheritors of Vietnamese Labor Party. History has repeated again and again. Vietnam can eventually control Champa because of their soft policy towards these people after the fierce fighting was over. In the meantime, Kampuchea Krom people are gradually assimilated under the brotherhood policy of Vietnam. At the present, Cambodia has experienced this same policy. Major political leaders whom Vietnam has installed have been successfully consolidated their power or the observers called "the Privatization of Cambodian People Party."

For instance, Hun Sen, Heng Samrin and Chea Sim are Triple Gem installed by Vietnam. Vietnam has done their best to maintain the Three in power to consistently be able to build their new generations when the Three are unable to maintain their decaying fate according to the rule of nature. As the matter of fact, the new breeding generations are included three Fs: flowing new illegal Vietnamese population, forming the integration of Vietnamese to fully become the Khmers and positioning in main positions, and functioning the plans.

At the moment, Cambodia is in the stage of deadly risk as Vietnam has capitalized in political economy to alleviate poverty but griply monitor the political climate. Observers see the opposition party and civil societies have gradually become the tool of the government to bargain their political legitimacy. Currently, the major lawmakers are from the CPP, and the SRP lawmakers are just the political alibi for them. Whenever, the opposition law-makers tried to move, the CPP tried to grip them tightly and mercilessly. Sam Rainsy has been tried in absentia, Mu Sochua has been hijacked her lawsuit by the biased court and sentenced by the baseless counter-suit. Many SRP supporters including the farmers at Svay Rieng (who might not the supporter of SRP, but they worried about the loss of their land) have been imprisoned. So the rests are automatically jeopardized. Recently, the attempt to survey the border marker at Kampot by the SRP law-makers have been blocked by the hired people and policemen etc. These acts have been publicly undertaken by the government especially amid the meeting of aids countries in deciding to share their tax money from their people with the Cambodian people. In the future, the fear of political consequences will distort the will of joining with democratic force as well as the humiliation will be perpetually happened among SRP activists.

This stake of risk is absolutely moving inside the frame of "Capitalistic Imperialism of Vietnam Imperialist".

Secondly, the misbehavior of Vietnam inside Cambodia is out of sight from the international laws regarding the foreign interference inside one independent/sovereign country, is the violation. When many Vietnamese experts are working in Cambodia on behalf of Cambodians, by carrying Cambodian citizenship, the laws could not distinguish them.

The prospect of Khmer Rough trial is in their hand. The prospect of economic development is in their hand. The prospect of democracy is in their hand. The prospect of security and peace is also under hand. The shadow government can accept all promotions from aids countries including the establishing the Monarchy to penetratingly achieve their goal: Contemporary Imperialism in Cambodia.

On the other hand, Cambodia is not Lao. Cambodia has many treaties and international recognitions about their nation-state boundary and territorial integrity. At least, we Cambodian can refer to main two international treaties for the survival of Cambodia: the Bandoung Treaty and the Paris Peace Agreement. Though the current government has tried to mute all these two treaties from the public, they cannot hide it from the world libraries and documentations at the United Nations per se.

In the future, Vietnamese workforce (CPP) should not extremely tame the SRP and civil societies because doing so the attempt of "Contemporary Imperialism" will not be succeeded.
