Out of this firing shot, it gets people off tracks from other pressing issue and don't forget, there are hundred thousands of Khmers who are employed in Thailand, none in Vietnam. One more thing, people's lives along the border, trades etc.. are highly affected, and who has the most to gain? Our friend from the East. This issue should have brought to the UN given Cambodia has been granted its legal rights and protection signed and sealed in the latest round in Paris so-called the Paris Peace Accord. Those who felt into the political traps of Hun Sen are doomed to enhance the process of Vietnamization which has been in placed for the last few decades. How many Thais are living in Cambodia? And how many big brothers have you noticed all over your country? This thing can be solved without needing a shot into the sky.

The King is a rubber stamp for PM. Koh Trol is lost to Yuon because the King signed. If he did not he would be no King anyway. So no matter what people say, everything get stuck because Cambodia is under dictator who is in turn under Yuou. Cambodian officials say fighting broke out Saturday morning, but stopped less than an hour later, the latest flare-up in a dispute over territory surrounding a 900-year-old Hindu temple.
The fighting began Friday near the 11th century Preah Vihear temple, resulting in the deaths of two Cambodian soldiers and a Thai villager.
Military officials from the two countries blamed each other for the outbreak of hostilities, the first in the region resulting in fatalities in a year.
The United States urged both sides Friday to exercise maximum restraint and take all necessary steps to reduce tensions.
Both Cambodia and Thailand have laid claim to the temple. A 1962 World Court ruling awarded it to Cambodia, which also successfully had the temple declared a World Heritage site in 2008. But the exact border near the temple has never been settled, leading to periodic skirmishes.
The dispute flared in recent days after a Cambodian court sentenced two Thai nationalists to six- and eight-year prison terms for illegal entry into Cambodia, sentences that have angered members of Thailand's People's Alliance for Democracy.
The party's members, known as “Yellow Shirts,” have camped out around Government House in Bangkok, demanding that Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva take a tougher stance in the border dispute

ReplyDeleteplease tell any news agent NOT say that this is a conflict over an ancient temple (Preach Vihear) claimed by Cambodia and Thai. It's totally WRONG. We all know the temple belonging to Cambodia. It is fair enough to say about land issue near the temple. Thai has nothing to say about the temple.

ReplyDeleteBoth sides just wanted to jerk around to scare the people that are living surrounding areas. Now, they starting negotiation. Then, the millitary police starting to evacuate the people living surround the areas. Then, all the Oknhas start bitting on those plot of lands for developments and tourism. And on the side, it has been so quiet, and the thieves love it!
