All monks need to go out to preach like the prist not just stay at the temple or collect money or food for the poor. But wha ti usually see is thay athey all stay at the temple. In the west men are training to rebuild the contrey not just believing in god alone or otherwise it will be like a waste of time. Do't get me wrong I do respect them but time is limited for everyone. In the west prist have degree to run the church and collecting thousands of dollars per week. these monies goes into rebuilding their community or helping the poor.
Know what you knew the ones you did not know you should learn to know. There are no any religion leaders being perfect. Some of them are good,but the others are bad. The pastors preach in churches on Sunday and Buddhist monks preach four days per month in the temples as same as the pastors. And some monks preach everyday. It is a bulletin.Read inside in Khmer language,you will know what happened.
