Impressive eloquence, but on behalf of one of the important leaders in the ministry of defense, Khaou Vireth has his shortcomings of not paving any concrete ideas and feasible backups to the issue of border conflict with Thailand.
I am praising with high class language, but I am disappointed with the lack of feasible strategy to implementing it. This writing compares like the bubbles of the ocean waves.
I suggest H.E.Kaou Vireth has to point out concrete solutions and reliable backups to defend the Cambodian territory land and face with Thailand intelligently.
More than this, the issue of conflict with Thailand is somehow should be in a balanced concern with Vietnam.
More than this, the issue with Thailand is dangerous as the same issue of domestic violation of national constitution, the over-control on the judiciary and assembly branch and the instilling fear inside Cambodian society by the current government led by Hun Sen.
Thailand is encroaching Cambodian border in the same time that Hun Sen and his cabinets are encroaching the national constitution by not complying with the rule of laws. They have relentlessly influenced the judiciary and the assembly institutions.

When the opposition leader is too soft, what can we get from the ruling party?
ReplyDeleteIn politic, only opposition party leader should prove to the public of his sacrifice for justice to the Nation. But when he keep quiet about these kind of injustice, who is going to demande justice for others. My suggestion is to ask Mr Sam Ransy and Mr Kem Sokha to resign and place their positions to a new leader who dare to fight.

ReplyDeleteCambodian parties both ruling parties and opposition parties were both being elected by people during National General election. Therefore they are equally represented Cambodian interests. THe ruling party has the majority to form the government but it doesn't mean that they have all their mandate to do everything they like at all. They can only;
-Represente the country to the outside world.
-Provide all the government service to the people through different ministries.
-Building the economy through all legal means.
-Collect all the taxes to pay all public servants salary.
-Protect public security through good police system.
-Protection Cambodian integrity through good arm force.
THe opposition parties have their mandante to observe all government activities to make sure that the government didn't abuse it power and didn't commit any corruption. THe oppostion leader is a legal leader. Hhe is the third Head of state after the King and the Prime Minister. He has equally right and equal level of respect from all government services and goverment protection. Any attempt to remove him from the government is an attempt of a coup d'etat. If opposition parties declare they are no longer can work with the government, a snap election should be called and a new election will have to be run for a NEW ELCTION.
THe problem now is his credibilty to hold his party together. If all his members can support his to walk out from the parliament, the government will be illegal and a general election should be declared. Areak Prey

ReplyDeleteThe removal of immunity of two Sam Ransy party members were illegal and were unconstitutional. Indeed they haven received any immunity from anywhere at all therefore they have immunity to be removed too. They have fully protected by Cambodian constitution for their election into Parliament for all their expression during their term in Parliament. Their protection will only end until their term has completed. Ant attempt to arrest them or to harrass them is an attempt to against Cambodian Cambodian Constitution. SRP party should refer this problem to the suppreme court or constitution court for the abuse of the leader of the Government so that the king can come out to dissolve this government and call for a snap election. 9:40am You are kidding. Waiting for Khmer king to resolve this issue is like waiting for rain in the desert. The fact of the matter is, khmer king has limited power at his diposal. I disagree with the Cambodian constitution in that it does not allow the king to make certain decisions pertaining to rules of law. In my opinion Khmer king should have the ability to exercise his power as much as the priminister does. He must be able to intervene when the cpp abuses its power.

The constitution has made it clear that the King is the symbole of unity and the guarantor of Cambodian constitution and the guarantor of Cambodia independent and territorial. These phrases are very clear that the king is untouchable and has full power to guarantor of Cambodian constitution from being abuse. The king has some mandates which is very high level.
Cambodian constitution has only banned the king from participating political party. He cannot favour to any party. He must be neutral. He can dissolve the parliament and the Government for constitutional crisis. At present, Cambodian government and parliament are in constitutional crisis for not knowing the constitution proprely and for their illegal removal of opposition party members. CPP has committed a serious damage for thinking that their large number in parliament to remove member of small party. Regardless small or large, they are equally representing Cambodia. If the opposition has decided to boycot the parliament, the parliament will be becoming in chaos. That is the same thing like a car without a wheel ( for a parliament without opposition party ).
