Demonstration in support of the 1991 Paris Peace Agreements on Cambodia

Demonstration in support of the 18th Anniversary of the October 1991 Paris Peace Agreements on Cambodia

Dear Compatriots and Friends,

At its onset, the 23 October 1991 Paris Peace Agreements on Cambodia raised tremendous hope among the Khmer people in finding peace, independence and territorial integrity for their country. However, in reality, the situation worsened since 1993: these agreements were deliberately violated by the dictatorial power in the Cambodian government and by the expansionist aims of neighboring countries.

The ad hoc Committee, composed of association representatives from the Cambodia Borders Committee (CBC), SRP-France, HRP-France, Cambodian Human and Citizen Rights League (LCDHC) and other Khmer community associations in France, are pleased to invite you to come and join us in the following demonstrations held to commemorate these invaluable Agreements:

1- Saturday, October 24, 2009, starting at 9:30AM, Wat Bodhivansa Pagoda (101 Blvd. de la République, 77420 Champs-sur-Marne): Religious celebration to pay respect and to acknowledge the memory of Khmer Patriots who fought for the liberation of Cambodia.

Program: Meal offering for the monks, Lunch for the participants, Speech recalling the circumstances and the conditions for the signing of the 1991 Paris Peace Agreements, Sermons by the monks.

2- Sunday, October 25, 2009, starting from 2PM, at the Esplanade of Human Rights (Place Trocadero, Paris): Demonstration for a scrupulous application of the 1991 Paris Peace Agreements by Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand and other signatory countries to these agreements.

Please join us in large number!

The real point that whole world donated $-millions to Cambodia is because of Paris Peace Agreement, not because of Janaury 7th, 1979.

    Please rember this!

All Khmer blood let United to fight against the corruption and restore our nation into prosperity.
Protect the poor from hunger and save the land for the farmers. These regime is not killing people like in the past, but starve them slowly until they die.

By grabbing all lands khmer people will starve, a killing without bleeding, and so Khmers will have no strenght and intention to fight CPP and Viet invaders.

So Hanoi and Hun Sen knew the physical needs of all Living Beings, FOOD.

Very few Khmers saw this Hanoi strategy to destroy Khmer Race and Nation.

We are living in the 21st century, let us all learn from the past mistakes and turn it into a possitive learning outcome. In other words try to prevent war from ever happening again. We all must learn to accept everyone as equally important doesn't matter who they are or where they come from. Look at Aust we have a multicultural society and we appreciate each other very much. I would like to see our new Khmer generations do the same things in order for us to have peace of mind. We must not speak against any other races for they too are human being. We all know that every nation has its own good and bad. So, we must break the barrier between race, language, colour and religious differences and all we need to do is to learn to obey the same common law e.g. all for one and one for all and that everyone is equally important and at the same time having equal access to individual needs i.e.love compassion, share and respect one another, e.g.treat others just like you want to be treated and love others just like you want to be loved. In other words no more speaking against Viet, Thai, Chineses, etc. for these words will benefit no one, instead it will do more harm than good. Buddha saying 'speak no evil, act no evil, see no evil and hear no evil' Bible says 'a fool person says silly things only to affect himself and others around him whereas a wise man thinks before he speaks and when he speaks, he speaks with wisdom and in respond he is being respected and benefit from it all'. In other words everyone likes/loves him. So, brothers and sisters we must learn to speak in an appropriate language in term of a diplomatic approaches which in turn it will place more value onto us as a person or as a new nation. Aust
